What has been done to change my mind? I am listening.
-Signed top new GK. We should be set for 10 years in this position (lol @Lion)
-Greatly reduced average age of starting lineup. against Monza, it was 24 (the lowest I’ve ever seen)
-Strengthened our midfield. We can finally start controlling the tempo of our games again
-Reduced our wage bill by freezing out unnecessary players and deadwood
-Signed one the most sought after coaches in Europe.
-Finally rid us of Dinoball.

Things I was criticizing him for
-Koop transfer taking way too long. Will forgive him if he gets it over the line
-No width in the team (fixed by signing Conceicao and Gonzalez)
-Very small squad (again, fixed by late transfer blitz)
- failed Calafiori and Todibo transfers (yeah he missed the boat on these)
-alienating Chiesa (Chiesa’s relationship with the club is completely broken, and it’s because of his greed, not because of Toli)

why eveyone thinks i am trolling? i am ok with banter but some of you are dismissing valid claims behind insults and troll label.

I have been on this forum since 2007. i was watching juve in serie b on low quality streams when streams where almost impossible to get that time.

i love this club and want the best for it. me sayin guintoli failed doesn't mean i am trolling. i care thats why i criticize. i never want anyone to fail.

Yep, and that's exactly why I have him blocked. Because he stopped being even 5% funny and is just nonstop spam of boring shit he doesn't even mean.
I never block anyone as I like to hear all sides of the argument but man I had to do the same.

Every year I'd go away on my birthday and always enjoy laying in the the hotel with a cup of tea and catching up on all the days of transfer news on Tuz I missed while the Mrs is off shopping and this year I noticed there was 20 new pages in the summer transfer thread so was excited we'd signed someone.

Turned out it was all spam by Lion about signing a 4th goalkeeper after we had missed out on Todibo :howler:

Since I put him in ignore I have found navigating the forums quite refreshing and easier to manage so sorry Lion

I’m sorry you feel that way. I thought we were friends here but apparently I guess I’m the bad guy for caring.

...me sayin guintoli failed...
but he hasn't

nobody _failed based on 1 complete summer mercato, and every sports director juve ever had made incredible mistakes too. moggi made juventus the best team in europe, and at the same time bought oliseh, fucking blanchard (one of the worst juve purchases ever, if someone thinks that kostic or kean were the worst ever, then i have news, they aren't even in the worst 11 of the last 30 years) or dimas, sold thierry henry or vieri and we didn't even dig too deep. or marotta while building a sustainable and domestically dominating squad, signed marco motta or malaka martinez during his first mercato (fucking hell), and later added romulo, isla, anelka and did countless accounts of human trafficking with players who were never intended to play for juve. remember lanini or mame thiam? neither their mothers do

i also criticized many elements of our mercato, there's plenty to moan about. but any verdict is a bit premature. it looks to me that he's got an impossible task of both making our accounts sustainable and improving the overall quality of the squad while satisfying the new coach. yes, timing looks off. yes, he fucked up with calafiori and he waited too much with the todibo deal (although i don't think that's a huge loss tbh). yes, he probably cut ties with a few people. yes, firing mckennie then signing an extension with him looks weird. yes, the chiesa case should have never happened, djaló's case itself is a circus, i don't think that cabal is a good player, and so on. yes, selling soulé probably wasn't such a necessary sacrifice. but at the end of the day the accounts will look better and the squad itself is taking shape to support motta's ideas, and that's what matters the most. i won't give a fuck about chiesa or todibo in 2 months if jj will be near the top of the table and we get to enjoy the games. not you, you'll miss them lol

And since you are "real" whatever that means; you wanted what exactly for basically zero euro?

Besides a cheaper and better line-up (on paper) in every line of the team that is ofc.
How about a more experienced coach with history of winning and successful rebuilding?

How about a Kvara instead of Alcarazos and Djalos? (Isn't he well known for making top players out of unkown ones?)

Small reminder: this is the summer mercato 2024.

Experienced coaches with a history of winning are not available at these salary rates. But we had one of those in Allegri; Would you have kept him then?

You do remember where Conte came from before he led us to the Scudetto, no? We've had young up and coming coaches before. In fact even Lippi didn't win shit before Juve... So I don't see the point in this. Especially after what we've seen from Motta last week.
