Would need to hear what he says when mercato concludes..

Even if we get those 4 players which looks like a big IF right now, mercato has been conducted in a very chaotic way. Lots of question marks but need to know and understand why business has been conducted so dreadfully.

It just can't be lack of funds given the way we've been operating in the past month or so.

He is getting a lesson that as a Juve DS u either buy domestic player in one summit or go abroad. Only Marotta has enough connections to drag this things longer than a few weeks.

Btw im pretty sure that Atalanta and Viola are currently plotting to fuck our mercato over.

Ideally we would have these players earlier so they would spend some time with the group and be ready from matchday 1. However due to lack of money, which should be apparent to everyone since the club is making 100s of millions of losses per year, negotiations dragged on and we missed some targets. I think Koop and Gonzalez will be signed even if it happens on the last day which will make this a solid mercato. I'm not happy we didnt get rid of all our deadwood but those players are unsellable and it is more of a testament that previous managment made horiffic deals. To fix what has systematically done wrong over the last 5-6 years is difficult in 1 summer. Ultimately he will be judged based on how the team will perform, whether newly arrived players will fit in. I think some young players like Adzic that didnt attract much attention could be a surprise of the season.

Some might suggest this modus operandi is due to maybe hanging out a bit too close to Fagioli in the Nurnberg retreat but truth is we just have to get accustomed to his way of working, never easy to oversee a squad overhaul.
Squad overhauls are nearly impossible --- which brings up a major point. He and Motta banning so many players from training with the first team is so increidbly stupid, because it's nearly impossible to get rid of that many players and bring in replacements.

Outside of someone like Szczesny, where his replacement was brought in and Szczesny himself said he was leaving, everybody should have been training with the team. Because a handful of those players will be on the team this year.

Hence why i hinted at Giuntoli acting like someone not afraid to gamble his way forward thus far, seems intent on taking many risks in the squad building process, which could be an indication that he wants to get this overhaul and rebuild done much sooner rather than later, apparently even at the cost of everything potentially backfiring against him.

I expect at least 1 or 2 signings before our first match :sigh:. Buying late is bad, but understandable while considering the situation. Playing the first official match without 3 much need staters, then he must take the blame. One injury to Vlahovic, Yildiz, or Weah, then we have to rely on Mbangula, it's bad.

I am not happy about the transfers.

Spent a big chunk it money on 4th goalie

Didn’t strengthen the positions that actually mattered

Disgusting Mercato

I agree. Might be a lot of money spent Luiz and Koop (how much is Gonz's price tag, 35M?) but be excited with just these 3 signed. Maybe Chiesa comes to senses like McKennie and gets incorporated back onto team and no money spent on Nico. Said it before, rather get a few proven quality players than 5/6/7 ones we're rolling the dice on. Luiz solidifying the MF as much as one player can, along with especially getting a Dybala type taking good corners most of the time and Koop appears to very good.

Before talking about new players, a successful transfer window is one where you manage to get rid of a large part of the undesirable. Guintoli's performance is weak for now, with Kean's departure I had good hope but it's August 18th and,

Milik is still there,
Locatelli is still there,
Kostic is still there,
Rugani is still there,
Artur is still there
De shito is still there
Weah is still there

does this guy not learn from his mistakes?

he was told twice to pay up or fuck off first by calafiori club then by todibo club

now he is going to lose out on koop and gonzalez for same exact reasons.

and people here defended him
