OK, as of today I'm finally getting over the dreadful preseason and 3:0 humiliation by Nurnberg.

But from Monday on I don't wonna hear it!

No excuses.

"We didn't have the money this summer, we're now -450 million". We didn't have much money in the summer of 2011 but we made a winning team!

"Giuntoli and Motta need time, we need to be patient". They had all the time in the world and they made a squad of 15 players to start the season with!
Dude at the start of 2011 season we were melting, we didnt believe we would get the 3rd CL spot. None of us did. Its not like we were buzzing with excitement over our transfers and Conte.

I was a lurker at the time but I do remember the fapfest involving Roma's mercato. People were just hopeful to see us make the top 3 as Serie A had only 3 CL spots at the time.

I don't think we're going to have a season like 2011 though. We have CL to play and this is an undercooked squad. Top 4 and improvement in our football(no 1-0 and inshallah or parking the bus against minnows at home) and we would be making some kind of progress.
CL is a lottery. I can see us getting humiliated but I can also see us somehow making the knockouts. Depends on how we start the campaign but no particular expectations for CL.

Midfield is stronger than last year. We have more depth as well in this area. Unless you wanted 10 cms, thats another story. We added 2 very good players (DL, Thuram) and lost 1 (Rabiot).

Chiesa is still here, as are other players on the list so the team is no weaker than last season. Actually as things stand for now, I see our side as considerably stronger. Ofc once the games kick in, we will know more but I dont see a reason for panic. We are ready. Lets go!

We have depth. Have you seen the size of the squad? Doesnt matter if some players didnt play friendlies. They will be called upon if required.

Still your opinion. No facts above bro.
Just take the L man - take it, love it, embrace it.

Either that, or stop trolling :D :lol2: :b81:

They're not even training with the squad!! They won't be reintegrated even if they dont get sold this summer. How do you expect us to rely on players who are already training separately? You just can't, that said we sorely lack depth all over, except GK ofc.

How do you know this? I think useless fat fucks like Mck wont be recalled but players like Chiesa will. Lets see. They train, regardless if it is seperately or together with the rest of the group. They didnt retire. It is in their best interest considering the next step in their careers, to remain in shape and when called upon, to have a game of their lives, either to prove us wrong or to spark interest of other clubs.

Training individually is not the same as training with the team. Trust me they're out, don't think for one minute we will be relying on the likes of Mckennie at any stage this season, it's not happening. So please stop kidding yourself into thinking we have squad depth, we really don't, just look up the atletico madrid game day squad we called up.
