He done fucked up on this one. Tbh since the signing of Cabal, we have totally lost the plot. Penny pinching, delaying, missing out on targets. The way we’re going now we’ll miss out on Koopmeiners too.

Aparently management didn't have confidence in him to transform his loan from option to buy to obligation and he got tired of waiting .
It's probably because of him flopping in Barcelona that they tried the safe approach .
It would have been a coup of we had gotten him with an option to buy.

Hey bro stop freaking out.
Since west ham bid 45 million for him it was over. We don't have that kind of money to start a bidding war with west ham.
Also if we give them 45 million what's to stop west ham from giving 50 or 55?
They priced him out from us . That's all that is to it.
No
We had fucking weeks to iron out this deal, WEEKS! in fact a new starting CB was our biggest priority. No Giuntoli spent weeks lowballing and busy renewing contracts that didn't even need renewing now. No im fucking pissed at how much time has been wasted for what? nothing. Selling Huijsen now looks all the more retarded, we have nothing to show for it. Season starts next week and Motta is already set up to fail.

Yeah ,Giuntoli gambled and he lost (doesn't look good) , but I don't think Huijesen would have been the answer .
Defense wise he was bad in Roma in the limited time I saw him. Has potential but to me he looked more like a defensive mid masquerading as a CB.

But if that was the case why waste so much time for him after Calafiori fiasco?

You think he can only do 1 thing or another? I think he can do more than 1 thing at a time. We didnt evaluate Todibo as 45-50m player. West Ham has. Simple as that. I dont think Koop is worth 50m either. I wouldnt mind missing that one as well. If Chiesa returns to a fold, we have significantly stronger team than last season. There are still few weeks left though.

We gambled on him only wanting Juve to pressure Nice in giving him with loan + option ,but West Ham upped the price and probably salary and that was that.

If we don't have anybody else lined up Giuntoli f'ed up because it was crucial that we got at least a good cb to pair Bremer.
At this moment our best line up at the back is

Cambiasso Danilo Bremer Cabal
Or
Danilo Cabal Bremer Cambiasso

Decent to good at best, but depth wise disastrous .

No if we had offered loan with obligation to buy weeks ago, Todibo would already be ours. No Giuntoli was fucking around the buy out conditions, now we are seemingly on plan C whoever the fuck that is.

Sure, but we didnt want that. Doesnt seem like we estimated his qualities high enough to tie ourselves to a deal. What has Todibo done to be worth +40m? There will be other opportunities before the end of a transfer window. So I dont see reason for panic.

This is 100% on Giuntoli, we had more than a month to iron out a pretty easy deal, but we kept delaying and penny pinching. His priorities were wack, it’s been crickets on the transfer front for weeks and it backfired big time.

Todibo going to West Ham over us and CL football shows that the guy isn't going to improve us. Chiesa can go to the Hammers too if he's only thinking about the paycheck. The only reason you go to West Ham is for money, absolutely no other reason.

My concern with Guintoli has been how quickly he sells our young talents, Huijsen would've been useful right about now. I worry that we'll regret not keeping some of them, but let's see.

This should be a warning to wrap up Poopminers fast and get moving on the wingers. Getting gazzumped or turned down is normal, but having no contingency plans would be incompetence.

Can't understand us wasting our time over Calafiori and todibo when we don't have the money to buy them?

Huijsen, Soule? Both arent good enough and will never be good enough for Juventus. Teams with a level of Roma are more fitting. I hope we get rid of Miretti as well.

Agreed. Couldn’t give a shit that we lost Huijsen, but to miss out on plan A (somewhat understandable) and then plan B (we had it all but wrapped up besides us penny pinching) is an unmitigated disaster imo. We go into a new season without a ball-playing CB that Motta requested. And now we risk panic-buying/loaning some useless clowns like we did during the last winter mercato.

Doesnt hurt trying to score. Also doesnt mean he cant multitask. Im sure he has someone else in mind. Working at this level requires plan b, c....

I'm beginning to really dislike this guy a lot. I gave him the benefit of the doubt despite being a Napoli fuck, but that time might be over.

Seems like Tici 2.0 except sells off our best talents.

If we were concerned he flopped at Barca at a young age, then we shouldn't have gone after him in the first place.

I know this club generally has issues with younger players, but I guess Jungtoli does too.
