:shifty:

I'm sorry you rather keep the shitty Czech player? I'm not going to defend myself againt this but I sure as hell think Zaccardo is better than Grygera and in fairness I can't think of any better alternative that would become available for a loan deal and suits our budget.
Yeah, just like Toni's such a great move because he's better than Amauri. You want Heskey too?

Zaccardo would be an improvement to our team, but if we want to win something in the future he isn't the kind of player we should be looking for.

If anything, I criticize the Toni move since we could've kept Trez and we were better on the financial and sporting area. Zaccardo couldnt be compared to Toni move, since the number of fullbacks in general is limited, the number of available fullbacks even more limited and the number of cheap available fullbacks who seemed good this season is extremely limited.

He's far from my dream player, but a one year lone deal? Why not..

Why not? Because he's crap. Improvement on Gyrgera, debatable. Even so, Grygera doesn't set the standards for players we should sign, and neither does Amauri.

You and I don't know who's available, we only get what we hear from the press. We have to do better than friggin' Zaccardo, Barzagli and Toni if we want to make top 4, far less be among the title contenders.

You and I do know we probably don't have a lot to spend and many areas that need to be improvent. He fits the searched profile (rb and cheapo) and like I said earlier I wouldn't mind him for now when the summer comes we could probably replace him with someone better like Cassani.

We can do miles better than him, but sadly without some cash it's hard to grab up some quality players

If we get him now, we're not going to replace him 5 months later. The RB position is a HUGE problem for our team and we don't fix it by plugging another mediocre (at best) player. That is a waste of resources and space in the squad should be designated to better players. If we get him, you know we'll settle for him because of the other positions that we have to upgrade.

I hope we can do better than Cassani, btw.

If it's a loan dael (rumoured) we probably ship him back after a year. He's mediocore, not my first choice but if I have to choose between playing Grygera or loaning Zaccardo, I choose the world cup winner :p

Not saying we should go for him, any ''talented'' or player with ''potential'' should be chosen instead but if it is our last options, I'll say okay.

I agree wit you mr G...in that Toni is a definite upgrade on Amauri. And that Zaccardo would be a definite improvement on Grygera goblin. Apologies if you already know...but we didn't get rid of Trez. He wanted to please his wife, who desired to move closer to her family...After so many years in Italy, its understandable. And we let him go for what?? 0$....As much as it helped reduce our wage bill, it also seemed like a favour of sorts to Trez, who had a decent relationship with the club. I highly doubt that Del Neri was madly eager to get rid of him, and had he stayed he would have been our starting prima punta.

But the impression I got was that Trez wanted to leave. And was allowed to leave. So the option of keeping him, or failure of keeping him...seems a little different to the reality.

either way, like you..and many others, i wish we still had the legend in our ranks.

I agree with the point about David. I think he wanted to leave and that w let him. I also think thats why we are paying his wages, because of his status at the club. I also think is a favour to him.
