lol, what a fantastic statement. have you ever seen Messi play? they play possession football and most of the time Messi has got the ball at his feet against two defenders at the edge of the box and he either exchange passes with someone or tries to get into the box, it's not like he's Stephen Hunt running up and down the right wing. ask Fred or someone how many runs down the wing Messi actually make per game.
Have you counted the number of goals we conceded because of Grosso's defensive abilities this season?
Of course, not to mention the wasted chances and Buffon's wonder saves this season.
Again, I'm not saying that we should play Molinaro. Because in truth, I'd really like to see him out in January to be honest. But you gotta give the man credit he deserves and that is he's a better defender than both PDC and Grosso.

If you told me last year, I would have picked Molinaro because he was better defensively (to play against Barcelona), but this year the clown is worse than everyone defensively or offensively, even thou he didn't have enough time to find his "form", then again I am biased, I can't stand him to give the chance to prove..
I can't believe people want Molinaro to play ahead of Grosso. Grosso sucks at defending too, but Grosso still is a better defender and attacker than Molinaro. It seems some have forgotten that Molinaro makes plenty of defensive errors when he plays and is only rarely secure when defending. I don't care what team we play I would start Grosso ahead of Jewface every time, Forza getting rid of his ass this January!
