Juventus have yet to launch a bid for Lazio midfielder Cristian Ledesma, according to his agent Vincenzo D'Ippolito.

The Bianconeri have need of a creative yet sturdy lynchpin in the middle of the park and Ledesma is doing everything to secure a move away from Lazio.

The Argentinian has followed Goran Pandev's path and is now trying to get the League to agree to rescind his contract with the Biancocelesti.

Lazio President Claudio Lotito has frozen him out of the first team after he requested a big club release clause in a new contract.

Speaking to TuttoJuve.com, D'Ippolito said: “I have not had any contact with Juventus. I don't know if Juve have got in touch with Lazio. They certainly haven't with the player and I.

“I don't know if anything new will happen in January. We have to wait for the hearing and we expect a rescission like Pandev's. The hearing should be in January,” he concluded.

Ledesma is too mediocre unfortunately. He's a good player, I've liked him ever since he became captain at a very early age for Lecce, but he's not world class or anything. If we can get him for a decent price then go for it, but I don't see him improving us by leaps and bounds. Perhaps we'll move the ball a bit neater with his presence but he isn't a Xabi Alonso or anything.

Nope, but he doesnt have to improve us by leaps and bounds, look for that in other signings, but as a free signing that will ad decent quality to our roster, improvement to what we currenly have (tough enough defensively, with slick passing and cannon shot), add a side to our midfield we are missing a little, especially as free transfer, then he is welcomed, especially replacing Tiago's presence in our team.

Though his hearing will be in January, he SHOULD get the same verdic as Pandev, same stupid treatment by Lotito, but question is how late in January (us having to wait around for it). But that may not matter, if his contract is rescinded, he shouldnt be restricted by mercato deadline as a free agent.
