The difference with him though is that Poli has already impressed Del Neri and Marotta to the point where he was a regular starter.

Del Neri quite publicly loves him IIRC. I think that if he moved here, the whole ItaJuve thing would get to their heads and he'd try and make him a starter alongside Marchisio or at least rotation with Melo. Would make CM look very nice for us.

Ledesma is realistic (especially now when they got Hernanes) and probably our primary target I believe. Other than him...not many realistic options. Maybe Galloppa and some others.

I would rather for us to go after him instead of Ledesma.

Gago has pretty nice vision and he's a good passer. He's not a typical DM destroy or something. He'd be something we could use really.

I definitely choose Gago rather than Ledesma. I like how he play under Capello and Schuster when RM got Primera division champion.. He is still young also, and can shine and revive his career like Cambiasso and Sneijder with Inter..

Ledesma is the safer choice because he has Serie A experience but still he is inconsistent

Marchisio is definitely a starter, and hopefully he will be for the next 10 years or so. I think this system will be very compatible with his characteristics, but he will need some continuity at his preferred playing position before he really finds his form. His past 3 coaches have had him playing all over the place.
