Chievo duo Dario Dainelli and French striker Cyril Thereau have been mainstays of the Gialloblu starting line-up with 21 appearances to their names.
Last week’s match-winner against Lazio, Alberto Paloschi, has been the most prolific in front of goal for Chievo this season, netting on seven occasions. Sergio Pellissier has chipped in with four and Cyril Thereau has scored three.
In the 22 league fixtures contested this season, three players have already been given their marching orders: Marco Andreolli, Kamel Vacek and Mamadou Samassa. Luca Rigoni has collected the highest number of bookings.
After a run of five consecutive defeats, Domenico Di Carlo was shown the door and replaced by Eugenio Corini who has guided the club out of the relegation zone and safely into mid-table.
Chievo have consolidated their top-flight status since gaining promotion from Serie B in 2008. The Gialloblu’s final positions in the subsequent four years demonstrate a steady improvement: 16[SUP]th[/SUP], 14[SUP]th[/SUP], 11[SUP]th[/SUP]and 10[SUP]th[/SUP].
