Roma decide to go quiet

Roma have followed in the footsteps of Juventus by announcing that they too have opted for a Press silence.

The outfit revealed the move on their official website this evening following yesterday’s 2-1 loss at Parma.

"We ask the players for concentration and sacrifices," said chief operating officer Rosella Sensi. "For this reason, nobody will talk."

The Giallorossi, who were involved in this season’s Champions’ League, are incredibly fighting against relegation after collecting two points out of the last 30.

This looks to me like a Roma that's desperate for whatever voodoo they can find to save their squad's ass in what remains of the season.

Juve does the press silence thing, and it's because Milan's ownership also owns all the Italian media, distracting media stories start coming out from garbage that happened with players years ago, tapes are showing up for suspension appeals, etc.

So then why does Roma do it? Well, none of the above, apparently. But if it worked for Juve against Milan, maybe they can join that mojo -- any mojo -- for help.

I have this feeling that if Appiah got a sex change before the match, Sensi would be wearing a wig and earrings.

Bah knowing Sensi he probably does it secretly in his room in front of the mirror eating peanut butter

Damn Anders' signature has more effect on me than I thought

Yet, Juve still manage to talk about things (players) that has nothing to do with them...

The Press silence bug is spreading after Lazio became the latest club to hush their players.

Juventus and Roma have already declared a media blackout, a step the Biancocelesti have now taken following three successive defeats.

Ironically, Roma and Lazio will meet in what promises to be a tension filled derby on Sunday given their recent struggles.
