It's absolutely guaranteed Inter are gonna field their starting XI against us like they did yesterday against Milan while we're gonna be forced to field the B-team. Gonna be real hard to get past them with one eye on the other games.
If I'm not mistaken, both Lukaku and Hakimi are suspended for the 1st leg.

Why we not seeing him?

Given I don't follow them as much, but isn't he among those who look the closest to a somewhat half finished product?
He’s having a great season in Serie C, but Pirlo didn’t select any U23 player who played last week.

Maybe they want to give some continuity to that squad as there have been massive changes since the start of the season.

What @U Picciriddu said. Looks like Pirlo has settled with players from U23 who are now mostly part of the first team squad. Could see more additions as the season goes on, but obviously not players jumping between the teams en masse like we might hope for.

TBH a Coppa game against a Serie B side is probably the only time you would see that anyway.

Im hoping that Fagioli starts. Our CMs have a difficult job but against a Serie B team Pirlo has the balls to try it I think.

I think it’s easier to find a place for him in this team as he has different qualities compared to Ranocchia, who’s more a CDM.

Its not a coincidence that he went from U19, to U23 and eventually to the first team within 12 months. Especially with Pirlo who was preparing to be our U23 coach.
