What did we just watch ffs, i knew expectations are low but sure didn’t imagine seeing us being lucky enough to have at least forced the game to the PK’s here, there were moments where Empoli missed multiple clear opportunities to put the game to bed at both 0:1 and later on at 1:1… although even so we could have still somehow gotten away with it after how the last ~15mins went but it would have probably been unfair.

Unacceptable to get KO’d at this stage against an struggling Empoli side who hadn’t even won a game since last year.

Just like the PSV game, we didn't take it seriously and thought we could progress with minimal effort. Same embarrassing result. This should've been settled early. Penalties are always a lottery, but it was the opportunity of a lifetime for Empoli and they took it.

Motta and his persist crap lineups despite consistent shit displays are to blame. Why play Nico and Poopminers again after both Yildiz and Mbangula's last good showings? The guy has no clue how to manage us.

Wonder if it’s just a coincidence that the two players who missed the PK’s tonight are both being regularly benched lately(albeit for different reasons) after previously having the status of automatic starters and never missing a game when fit.

Vlahovic i guess we can suspect some bad feelings or even a slight intention to screw Motta and Giuntoli over for replacing him, but in Yildiz case i think benching him is really messing with his balance and confidence.

Some fun facts about Empoli.

They had not scored a single goal since the last time they played Juve.

They conceded 10 goals in 3 games before today.

They were missing more players than Juve due to injury.

They still rested more of their regular starters despite having so many players out due to injury.

They could of easily won by 3 or more if they weren't so wasteful/ Juve weren't so lucky.

Who have the ball away for Empoli's goal? Nico?
Thought Cambiaso. Well wrong, I see; Nico had the final bad touch after receiving a useless pass from Cambiaso that is. Nico literally has zero options to pass to in that moment... Also the fact Cambiaso starts walking the second the ball is lost, sets off alarms. Could've easily put pressure on the man in possession to avoid this.

That wasn't the only such situation yesterday. At least 10 times we witnessed how the pass went nowhere, not because it was a bad pass per se, but because the teammate didn't follow the play, like the Nico-Cambiaso situation for Empoli's goal.
And almost our entire team was involved in these one-two situations, where the "two" went either to an Empoli player or to noone at all.

Still can’t believe we’ve been KO’d by a team which hadn’t won a single game since the 8th of December and whom hadn’t even scored a goal in their last 3 games while conceding a combined 10goals in the meantime…

Seeing that they did it without even playing their best XI due to an injury crisis makes it even the more worrisome.
