I was 11 in 2003 and was fresh off of becoming a Juve fan after defeating Madrid in semis. Had barely discovered the world of Champions League and that Del Piero and Buffon played for Juventus, two who had impressed me in Mexico vs Italy at the 2002 world cup. I couldn't believe Juve had lost to Milan but figured it wouldn't be long before we'd win it with such a high quality squad. I shed a few tears in 11/12 after Ale's exit and unlikely Scudetto and thinking of the relegation, humiliating CL exit against Bayern and loss to Fulham, and back to back 7th places. A friend I used to have back in school
could never understand why I went for Juve and it was even more hilarious when we would play FIFA on the ps2 and I'd scroll over to Serie B and still choose Juventus.
In 2015 I went into the final with bravado saying we'd win but deep down I knew it was a tall, steep hill to climb. This year though, it has to be it. If we play the way we know how, we're winning this.
