I'd play something like this:

Buffon
Zebina Legro Criscito Molinaro
Tiago Nocerino Almiron
Marchionni Iaquinta Palladino

Chiellini, Zanetti, Nedved, Del Piero and Trezeguet rested.

In my opinion we need to forget about Inter and Roma. They WILL finish in the top four so let's ignore them and focus on the threats to our CL spot, such as Udinese, Fiorentina and Milan. The Scudetto would be lovely but top four is our realistic goal.
That's what I said, Stu. Our objective realistically is a CL spot, I can see Inter stretching the lead at every time we lose points, they are the only team that haven't lost and I don't see them losing more than three games the whole season. Therefore we are not real title contenders but our aim is a spot in the top four which is without silverware. For this reason, winning the Coppa will do us good in actually winning something. I am not saying that it should be our priority but at least give it more consideration as it is nice to add to our trophy closet, especially after a scandal.

I'd play something like this:

Buffon
Zebina Legro Criscito Molinaro
Tiago Nocerino Almiron
Marchionni Iaquinta Palladino

Chiellini, Zanetti, Nedved, Del Piero and Trezeguet rested.
I also like this formation, which is more of a 4-5-1 or a classical Dutch 4-3-3. But what do you think of Iaquinta's love to go out wide where you place him with two wide players on both sides? How would he behave in the box?

Another thing, I'd even go as to rest Zebina. He is slowly becoming essential to the team.

that's very risky, resting all of them together might cause us lose points, we need each point badly. I would rest Trez and Nedved and Zanetti at most.

Buffon

Zebina Legrotaglie Chiellini Molinaro

Marchionni Nocerino Thiago/Almiron Palladino

Iaquinta Del Piero

Iaquinta could track back, taking defenders with him, allowing Marchionni and Palladino to get into the box freely. Iaquinta with his physique can also lay down chipped cross from Tiago and Almiron into the path's of Marchionni and Palladino, or alternatively lay down crosses from the latter two into the path of an incoming midfielder.

Or he could simply score from any cross :).

Yeah, I could agree with that. Play Salihamidzic as rightback. I might also be tempted to play Grygera(if fit) as cb, to give Legro some rest as well.

shit my bad! I thought it was a Serie A match :D

I like it. I'd play Iaquinta for one half and DP for the other. If Marchionni begins to tire we can bring on Sali.

Buffon

Salihamidzic-Boumsong-Criscito-Molinaro

Marchionni-Tiago-Almiron-Palladino

Iaquinta-Del Piero
I'd definately start Legro just to get his confidence up against what should be a weak opposition.. A guy in his situation doesnt need rests at this time in the season
