Pretty similar, except that it's probably harder to win a EURO than a Copa America. But you can only win the tournaments you play, so the Argies are winning what's in front of them.
EURO/WC/EURO ---- Copa/WC/Copa, I'd say it's a tie right now.
The tie breaker is the fact that Spain was brutally humiliated in the confederations cup and their world cup title defense was a joke.

Argentina meanwhile thrashed the euro winners 3-0 and I have a feeling we won't get grouped in 2026

https://www.getfootballnewsfrance.c...-racist-chant-following-copa-america-triumph/

The vulgar chant, which includes lyrics such as: “They play for France but come from Angola” and “Their mother is Nigerian, their father is Cambodian but on their passport: France”
Fucking morons, they sang the bigoted bs very end of the clip, before realising he is still live so cut it:

The irony of a south American nation consisting of immigrants from Europe singing this.
Dafuq. I mean, there's racist idiocy. And then that wasn't enough, so you add a team that wasn't even at the tournament.

Dumbclucks.

This Argentina team is way less talented than that Spain team of the late 00s to mid 2010s. But they got that dog in them. Tough to beat and with Dibu in goals, almost unbeatable if it goes to penalties.

I still put that Spain team above them tho. Boring as fuck to watch, but the team was basically a Barca/Madrid dream team.

They had that aura of invincibility too. Felt a bit like Usain Bolt in that sense.

Probably the most disgusting team of all time though. Especially when they started playing with all midfielders.

Disrespecting the oldest still running international tournament :disagree:

Sure, you have shit countries playing it like the US and Bolivia but let's not forget SA is the continent that's won half the World Cups.
Agree,it's how prefags see serie A. Or maybe rest of Europe there's Real Madrid equivalent to Brazil and there's Bayern Munich equivalent to Argentina, the rest are considered shite.

What else were they supposed to do when they had Xavi, Iniesta, Xabi Alonso, Busquets, and then David Silva, Fabregas, Juan Mata?
That was ridiculous depth in midfield. And yeah, that was also a ridiculously disgusting team.
You really had ruin it with Mata.

That team scraped their way to a world cup and played no top teams besides Muller less Germany in 2010 and Germany in 2008.

Let's not forget their offside goal vs portugal
Nelson Valdez onside goal disallowed for no reason @CrimsonianKing knows
Paraguay penalty not retaken with spain players encroaching
Red card vs chile in group stages

They were not this unbeatable team people make them out to be

They were fantastic to watch in Euro 2008 under the late great Luis Aragones.

During prime Barca-Guardiola era is when they became unwatchable. Too much focus in passing to death and in creating that perfect goal for the striker to tap it in to the net.

Now it looks like they have reset and back to pre-Guardiola era Spain.
