That`s right. I think the big three get perhaps more than all other teams together. There are 12 million people in italy who are juventus fans. That`s a huge argument to pay us a lot of money. Smaller teams have problems to sell their media rights. There are just not very much people who want to watch teams like Treviso or Ascoli.
The german bundesliga sells the rights for all teams together. That`s good for the small teams but bad for the big ones. Bayern just gets something like 16-20 millions at the moment. That`s a fifth of what we get. That`s perhaps better for the bundesliga because all teams are competitive but the big german teams are not so successful in europe because teams like Bayern have 80 million less from the tv-rights than we have.
The question is if we want a free market or if not. Juventus will prefer a free market. Lecce or Empoli would deffinately prefer it if the rights for all serie A teams would be sold together.

Yup. In an ideal world, the EU would be able to "force" all of Europe to have equal broadcasting rights.

As you said, it hurts teams in Europe who are having to share TV revenue, when they play against other clubs who don't have to.

I already pay (27€ a month) to watch Juve with Sky. For that money Sky gives me all Juve's home and away matches of CL and Serie A + the whole CL, some Epl, Bundesliga, Liga and Ligue1, reruns of matches (of the week and of the past), a lot of football shows (about statistics, history, players and so on), interviews, the coverage of other sports and many other services. The commentary is close to fair (not to mention that in their commenter/opinionist staff there are Vialli and Ferrara ). If you want to take a look, it's really a jewel

Mediaset offers only Juve's home Serie A matches, with a mediaset commentary, at 5€ a match . And I'd have also to buy the DDT decoder.

I really don't think so. I won't pay 10/15€ a month to see only some of the matches while hearing all kinds of crap about my team.

Mediaset is Berlusconi's ? I hope that its not a hidden agenda to lure Juve fans by giving bias commentary and the like. Trying to turn Bianconeri fans into Milan's.

But its great news for Juve, they have really made some great business in the last 2 years, I think this is really something big in Juve's path to becoming a global brand.

The money will be used to finance the staium refurbishment as well as strengthening the Capello contract and recruit new players.

Capello has to be given increased remuneration. A new £3.75m+ rolling contract renewed annually, based on performance, has to be the primary objective. Once that has been completed Moggi can then start the medium term rebuilding of the world's greatest club. Add to Sagnol one, possibly two, of the mooted transfer targets. You never know. This might now reopen the Cassano saga.

The timing of this deal is perfect to ensure the Delle Alpi facelift is done without the financial pressores Arsenal had in switching to Ashburton Grove that impacted badly on Wenger getting adequate funds to replace Patrick Vieira.

it is not juve policy to by big name players, this money will mostly go to the stadium reconstruction. it will help us in the transfer market, but juve are not gonna go pay 40+mil (joaquin) to get a player, even with all this money.
