Antonio Conte is preparing to lead a young Juventus side into tomorrow’s TIM Trophy tournament.
The three-way competition - which pits the Bianconeri against historic rivals Inter and Milan - is to be played at Bari’s Stadio San Nicola.
After guiding Juve to a second-place finish in last season’s edition, the manager will be hoping to go one better this time around, despite the continued absence of the eight Azzurri involved in this summer’s European Championships.
And with tomorrow’s pre-season curtain raiser very much in mind, Conte put his players through more tactical work at the team’s training base in Chatillon.
Defenders and wingers were initially tasked with blocking attacks through the middle, before dealing with pressing down the flanks. The midfielders then underwent a passing exercise and were soon joined by the strikers, who ran through the specific attacking movements desired by Conte.
Down the other end of the pitch, Claudio Filippi’s infamous ball shooter machine was in action, firing an array of shots to sharpen the reflexes of Storari, Leali, Branescu and Citti.
Shooting practice brought the first workout of the day to a close.
The Bianconeri will be back on the field for a final training session at 2.30pm ahead of their departure for Bari.
