Juventus’ extraordinary season has several secrets. Mentality, work devotion and drive when addressing each game are fundamental qualities shared by the whole group. However, there are also individual figures and every name would deserve a special recognition. Antonio Conte and Andrea Pirlo also deserved a prize which gave them a special satisfaction, because it was awarded by fans. However, not only Juventus supporters were involved in the vote, but all fans from all Italian sides, which expressed their preference through the Facebook pages of Serie A League or Tim.
The manager and the midfielder were awarded January’s Best Manager and March’s Best Player, respectively. They were given the prize today in Vinovo, directly by two fortunate fans drawn among those who voted them.
These are individual recognitions, but they were ideally shared by the whole team: “We’ve worked hard from several points of view - pointed out Conte - We’ve focused on tactics, technical aspects, fitness, mentality. I was lucky because I found a great availability by the lads. The turning point game? I immediately felt to belong to this team, also because I’ve known some of my team-mates for a long time. Moreover, playing for a new club gave me some extra drive. About the duel with Milan? Well, we were aware that they would have battled until the end. Obviously, as I’ve played there for ten years, I feel this duel to be particularly strong.”
