im doing this report called 'do aliens exist'.there's a section in the report called 'suggestions' where i need to suggest what the scientific world needs to do obviously.ive got a fair bit of idea for eg we need to improve our technology in order to determine if ETC do exist or not,but i want other suggestions to put in the report.and ive got a mental block rite now.so,anyone willing to help?
or does anyone have any websites/articles i can fill the 'suggestions' section of the report from?

I really do not know about what sort of technology scientists use to search for extraterrestrial life, and that obviously requires an extensive google search. However, the only way to advance the search is send some sort of satellite receiver out as far as it can possibility go, which would take years unless some new anti-matter technology is made to make space travel quick and easy. Hmm, what an outlandish topic for a college report.

You could always say we should build some huge portal like that in the movie contact if you fail to think of anything.

what about area 51?should the US govt tell the truth about it?ie assuming that it has been hiding the truth till now.

The government will never tell the truth about Area 51 because illegal waste disposal methods were practiced there all the time. Would the government ever admit to illegally burning hazardous waste, thus killing workers at the installation? I seriously doubt it. Prosecutors tried their best to take the government to court, however taking the government to court on such an issue is like trying to move a mountain. And if they try to keep such offenses under wrap, there is no reason why they wouldnt keep the exact nature of their work at Groom Lake under wraps as well.

Area 51 could perhaps be a good topic of discussion in your paper.

You could say something about the SETI@home project. The NASA used volunteers' computers to help process data gathered in space. It was blown off recently because it produced no results worth mentioning.
