Some people here are confused of the qualites of a player. Scholes is a very good passer, especially at latter years where he has been way more creative after he didnt have the endurance to bomb forward and score.

And VDV not a good goalscorer and more creative? The dude is mainly about scoring impact wise, top scorer for Ajax when he was there, for Hamburg as you recall, and now only thing he has done in Real is score 5-6 goals or so.

you are right. the one who stated VdV is no goalscorer sure means his little brother roman van der vaart.

rafael van der vaart did score 51 goals and provide 42 Assists (in 150 games) in the last four seasons. if you said he was not a hard-working midfielder your was right, though.

Ranieri relishes Chelsea return
Friday 19 December, 2008

Juventus boss Claudio Ranieri has reacted positively to drawing his former side Chelsea in the Champions League.

The Bianconeri won Group H ahead of Real Madrid, but they face a real challenge in the next round.

The game will have a special significance for Ranieri, who led Chelsea between 2000 and 2004 before being replaced with Jose Mourinho.

“It will be a great test and a very interesting one,” Ranieri told Sky Sport Italia.

“Like all games between Italy and England it will be great to see how calcio fares against the money men.

“Chelsea are one of the favourites to lift the trophy and they only lost the Final on penalties last year.

“This will be a stimulating game and I'm sure Chelsea won't be happy that they have drawn Juve.

“On a personal level, I only want to thank Roman Abramovich because working under him was the first time I could ask for any player and not worry about money.

“You don't forget four years, but I'm just focused on taking Juventus through,” he concluded.

Interesting quote from a Chelsea fan when he found out that Chelsea got Juve

"Thank You Ranieri for a special Chelsea-Man U 5:0, Lovelly victory at Stamford Bridge! Chelsea is going through versus Juventus! But we Chelsea supporters will always respect you!"

So, only the real Juve fans hate Ranieri?

Shame on this Chelsea fan. He is just another idiot who supports mediocrity.

All my chelsea friends love ranieri. It's quite strange really, he seems to have the status of club hero.

Seriously, they too remember him for his substitutions. Just look in here if you must.

I have full confidence in Ranieri and Juventus. I am sure that they will go trough to the next round. Look at what we have done so far and imagine how it will be when Buffon, Trezegol, Camoranesi and even Zanetti come back on the pitch. Maybe some of you would disagree but Juventus is very much underestimated in this past two years. The black stain that they got from the relegation made many people doubt in the streinght of the team. I have been hearing; Juventus beat Real because Real were in crisis, Juventus beat Milan because Kaka wasnt playing ect!! My point is that against Chelsea i have a 10000% confidence that Juventus will shut up all doubters and that they will show that....................well, JUVENTUS IS JUVENTUS!!!! Plus, lets hope that Chelsea will also underestimate Juventus and will take the beating of their lifetime. I think it will be the same as it was against Real......both games!!!

Forza Juve!!!
