Great its either the tinkerman, who is average at best. His best quality are his comical quotes and interviews.

Vialli who performed decently with Chelsea but nearly ruined watford, another mediocre choice.

If we have either of these coaches im confidnt next season and the short term future will be a great failure.

Buffon backs Ranieri's Juve Saturday 2 June, 2007

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Juventus are determined to have Claudio Ranieri on the bench next season and Gianluigi Buffon agrees he’s ready to remain if that’s the case.

The goalkeeper had warned he was looking to leave if Didier Deschamps was not replaced by Marcello Lippi, but following the World Cup winning tactician’s refusal to come out of retirement, other avenues are opening up.

All of Italy’s newspapers report this morning that a meeting with option Gianluca Vialli did not go well, but that contact with Ranieri reached a basic agreement.

The only problem currently is the length of his contract and the issue of staff. It’s claimed Ranieri has requested a two-year deal and that Juve would prefer to keep the fitness coaches from this season.

The former Chelsea boss is free from his ties to Parma, having rescued them from relegation, and it seems as if Juventus will leap in before Manchester City can secure his signature.

To further boost Ranieri’s credentials, Buffon has come out in favour of this new era in the Bianconeri’s history.

“Ranieri has the right charisma and would be excellent,” said the goalkeeper. “He is a great Coach and so can lead a team like Juve.

“He achieved a miracle with Parma, because they had even less chance of safety than Messina when he took over. Ranieri has an excellent CV.”

As a final open door to Juventus, Buffon also pointed out that he was not demanding Lippi’s return to the bench.

“I had never said it was either Lippi or nobody. I am not a director and do not sponsor anyone.”

    Ranieri Update:

"Manchester City? I have important deals in Italy"
    02 Jun 2007

The title says it all, and that it is what Claudio Ranieri has answered to English journalists. The ex-Chelsea manager continued that he has not met Manchester City officials yet - he had a wonderful experience in the past in England but although he would like to return, nothing is sure.

Did chelsea even have money when Vialli was leading? They've put Vialli as a coach so they can save up on a position/salary :D
    lol
It was quite interesting. Whenever he felt something was wrong on the field he used to litereally fix it himself :D
    :D :D :D :D

Now to Raniere he made very good transfers. Crespo, Veron, Joe Cole, Geremi, Makalele this players are all very good players. Crespo was injured during his first season in Chelsea tough he shot 10 goals in 19 matches. Veron was also injured, the donkey made a mistake to leave manchester tztz i like the him. Joe Cole settled in, he plays regularly in Chelsea and played also yesterday with the NT. Geremi dissepointed alltough he is a good player, he hast too much concurence. Makalele no comment, the guy is super.

so im for Ranieri as Juve Coach.

He joined Fiorentina in 1993, gaining promotion from Serie B in his first season. He subsequently had success in Serie A, winning the Coppa Italia and SuperCoppa Italiana in 1996.He was the coach from 1997 to 1999 and guided Valencia to the UEFA Champions League and the Copa del Rey in 1997.

ok lets look at our option, who is currently free or not and has the potential to lead Juve to greatness once again..altho i still think juve is great no matter wat...
    soo,here are the italians
    Lippi?(in October,so,i guess no)
    Capello?(still crap,another no)
    Ranieri?(50-50,maybe)
    Conte?(donnoe,ex juventino,maybe)
Del Neri?(6 years in serie a,produced some good players, maybe)
    Guidolin?(not really sure,maybe)
    Spalleti?(very hard,no)
    Prandelli(i wish,but still a no)
thats all the italians i can think of,and looks like Ranieri is so far our best option as he is free and has the approval of Buffon,so he cant be that bad right..?

    As for the foreigners
Mourinho?(i dont like him personally, but coaching skills is incredible, but very hard to move without CL,so i guess another no)
Schuster?(I really like him personally, and he could bring Ribas, but i think no)
Wenger?(who knows, could be a suprise like when capello was appointed, nobody expected him when all the news were toward Deschamps,so maybe)
Deschamps?(only when all our board members somehow turn out missing,so maybe)

    there,only my opinion...
Add other coaches who might be good for juve if u guys would like...

Ranieri: No talks with City yet

Claudio Ranieri has denied that he has had any contact with Manchester City - but concedes the thought of a Premiership return appeals to him.Ranieri, who was at Wembley to watch England's 1-1 draw with Brazil, decided to leave Italian club Parma after helping to keep the Serie A strugglers up and is now a free agent.

It has been reported that the former Chelsea boss will be installed as Stuart Pearce's successor at Eastlands if former Thai prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra completes his proposed takeover of the club.

He has also been linked with Juventus following Didier Deshamps' departure, and Ranieri told Sky Sports News: "I had four years (in England), it went very, very well and I had fantastic seasons.

"I'd like to come back and I am looking forward."

Asked if he had been in talks with City, he replied: "No. Not yet.

"Maybe (I would be interested) but nothing is sure. For me it is exciting to save Parma.

"I like to come to England but there are also some important questions in Italy.

"But I love English football. Now there are seven or eight great teams in England.

"Everybody wants to fight for the title and that is good for the league."
