My biggest concern is now Marchisio is gone, we're a little light in the midfield department

Bentancur, Pjanic, Matuidi, Can, Khedira. Unless we plan on turning Bernadeschi who I think has the traits to be a decent central mid we're going to be left short with hours to go in the window

I had to read the headline three times after I woke up, I couldn't believe it. This sucks. We lost Buffon, Lichtsteiner, Asamoah, and now Marchisio all at the same time. He deserves more of a send-off, similar to what Buffon got. The man spent his entire career here except for one single season on loan. Glad to hear he is being compensated at least.

Man, this hurts. It feels like we have a brand new squad now. Going to be hard to get used to not seeing our core group of players here.

I can't help but wonder if Max plans on using a 2 man midfield which would seem we are covered between Pjanic, Can, Bentancur, Sami, Matuidi and I guess Bernie too? Perhaps Max is eyeing Bernie to cover both a wing slot and CM slot? Sorta really the only thing that makes sense UNLESS (and I highly doubt) we have a new CM coming before the window closes.

Losing Buffon, Licht (Ok even I thought he should have left but for sentimental reasons...) and now Marchisio

I think we are switching back to a 2 man midfield. Would almost bet that's the case and if that is the case then we are covered and Marchisio knew that his PT would be very insignificant.

Sucks to see him gone. Especially in this manner but really I don't see this as some fault or blindside by the management. For those of you throwing a tantrum have you already forgotten last season where he NEVER played? Even when "fit".

Bizarre that it went down so suddenly. My guess is whatever issue the club has with him, they gave him a second chance this preseason and it still exists. So now he is gone.
