Maybe, but he can hold the ball and has more creativity than Marchisio, plus he can take on players and shots from distance unlike our casper. I'm pretty sure he'd do well behind strikers if he's given some time there.

It's relatively easy choice. I'd prefer Marchisio and I'd even like to see him instead of Pirlo in deeper role, something I repeated here quite often.

I'd rather play the 3-5-2 than use Marchisio as a trequartista.

He was abysmal as tq. Not enough offensive output to seriously consider placing him there.

He can play as a makeshift AM in the odd game a season, but as a permanent solution it would be terrible. We should just get a real AM.


On a sidenote, have we ever got any conformation that Allegri wants to play 4-3-1-2 with Juve?
I wouldn't be too sure if that yet.
