I hope he doesn't mean this:

“We had scoring opportunities, such as Giorgio Chiellini’s two headers and Mirko Vucinic in good positions. When these situations occur, we must make the most of them."

“We’ve got to be more clinical and finish off matches. It’s also crucial we maintain the tempo for 90 minutes. We’re still in time to improve, especially as the progress from last season has been notable.”

I don't think he meant to slander either of the two. But I was thinking the same thing about bonucci/chiellini they've had great chances on corners recently but haven't been able to put em away..

He was just stating the obvious, he wasn't taking shots at either of them.
players down talk bad about team mates in the press.

i dont care wether its the captain or someone who thinks he is; you never do that

a good captain or captain wannabe, would take them private and tell them what he thinks

private critisim creates a band, public critisim destroys them

Chill out will you.
He said "We can't go in front and then sit back hoping that the game will come to an end, like we did this evening. Instead we need to be more clinical and put the game beyond doubt", he referred to 'we' as a team, and then pointing out examples at the last match which are Vucinic's 1-on-1 situation and Chiellini's wasted header opportunity.

He didn't go directly attacking teammates like certain someone last season, he just said that whole team need to be more clinical.
