That joke describes his addition on the pitch, which is usually piss poor, like today.

We're winning, so I don't really care. But only fanboys can praise awful matches when talking individually and clearly many members do so.

When those 'jokes' are overused it's only because people exaggerate when they describe Marchisio's work, when he's rather average.
