People, you can't purport the excuse that Marchisio is tied to a system and therefore can only do well tactically. That is nonsense.

Why? Well, what position does he play? Is he a playmaker? No, he's not. He's a central midfielder. It is his job to be tactically adept and make short passes with ease. So what's the difference between him being in a certain system as opposed to having a "freer" role? Absolutely nothing.

Just give it up, guys. Marchisio is a great squad player, a water-carrier, but that's it. If you think he's going to be a our Steven Gerrard you are completely delusional.
He DOES do that aptly. Marchisio has a lot of quality, but I agree that he really has to start showing up more. He stepped his game up several times, versus Palermo for example, and he's quite amazing to watch then. Shame he goes missing the next three games. Having said all that, I do consider him one of our more reliable players.

Marchisio is very under appreciated. He works his ass off every game, and unlike pepe he has a significance , just cause he isn't fucking up every 2 secs doesn't mean he isn't there.

So after the bashing of Del Piero and Trezeguet, the Barcelona hate, Buffon and Storari armies heading against each other, etc., it seems it's the new trend to bash Marchisio in here.

Cool.

yeah he really is a water carrier and dont really show up yet he gives the team the balance, i think he should start taking shots from out of penalty box ( by practicing before, of course ), just to show up a little bit, and he is also very clam, and also a great player( if not world class yet), still, worth to be a captain, anyway love his goal against inter when he lobbed the ball over the keeper

The marchisio criticism here is way overboard. People just depend on statistics to make their judgements.
No.

Watch last 10 matches and you'll notice his invisibility in at least 7 of those. I used statistics to show the other side, his actual impact, as he's being labeled as a key player or squads pillar for no reason whatsoever.

It would help if the coach used him properly as well.
Another excuse.

I used stats 2-3 weeks back to show he had the highest media rating of our CM's, and he has played better in the last few games on top of that, oh well.

I guess if I use the word 'invisible' in every description and post hilarious pictures it gives my opinion a bit more credibility.
