technically, ok fine.

defensively, Marchi is better.

stamina-wise, Marchi is better.

and I prefer Marchi's direct approach over Aquilani's fruity, dream pass style.

I'm actually also very impressed by Aquilani's tackling. Too bad he doesn't have Marchisio's stamina.

Aquilani has vision. He has much more accuracy. He has a better shot. He has a better first touch. He reads the play better than Marchisio.

Aquilani is just a pleasure to watch. You rarely find players with such quality touches. That isn't to say Marchisio isn't awesome, but just not as good Aquilani yet.

IMO Aquilani's better but it's not that drastic. IMO Aquilani makes the rest of the offense around him better (with his accuracy, vision, calmness) while Marchisio doesn't necessarily do that. Marchisio is better defensively but I've been impressed with Aquilani in that area so far.

Technically, Aquilani isn't by far ahead of Marchisio. Not at all. They're on the same level if you ask me. Marchisio is one of our best dribblers in the team after Del Piero. This is a fact.

Aquilani has a better vision than Marchisio and reads the game better, and this is why he's impressing because we've been lacking some vision around the midfield ever since Zanetti left.

But in other aspects, Marchisio has a lot more advantage, stamina, physically better, defensively tougher and faster.

you are comparing a decent form aquilani to an out of form marchisio, not quite fair.

aqua is critical for the team at the moment. if marchisio picks up the form from last year, he still is better allround.

aqua has the vision, passing and long shot, marchisio is superior in any other cathegory.
we should really play 4-3-2(wingers)-1 when both r in form

melo to anchor, marchisio and aqua in front, and martinez/pepe and krasic on the flank, 1 striker.

I'd add tackling and anicipation to that list aswell.
