Marchisio wasn't getting hampered by "racist taunts" . You rate a player by 1 performance? then marchisio must be garbage to u after the WC lol. All am saying is Balotelli is talented , and u don't want to accept it. i don't care about his attitude when he playes well he is comparable to world talent .
I rate a player on how consistent he is with his talent & how he uses it and marchisio was out of position in the WC.

If Balo had a better attitude, he wouldn't be provoked by "racist taunts".
Its bad enough he's a black man in Italy, he might as well shut up..

No i do accept it, its clear that he has talent, i'm just saying Marchisio is a better footballer.

It's easy to speak about something when ur not experiencing it. Not saying he handled it the right way. BUT as a fellow black italian I know how much shit he puts up with. Especially since he is a superstar. Racism is wrong and I am 100% against it. Thats why I absolutely HATE it. I wouldn't wish pain on any race. We are all equal.

No as far as consistency Marchisio played more then balo. We'll see this year when balo gets more apps .

It seems like you know very little about football.
Let me give you a small lesson about talent since you seem to understand football the amateur way. Talent is not only skills and moving your feet over the ball, Talent is also attitude, using your brain on how to move and where to move, and controlling your temper at your worst moment. Balotelli is very easy to provoke which easily gets him of the game. However, Marchisio is smart with his movements, defending, attacking & temper controlled, PLUS talent. Claudio is twice the player THE DOG is.

If you want talent based to YOUR understanding, here you go:

Talent, is its rawest form, is something generally considered separate from Attitude and Demeanour. Its why so many people waste their talent, due to a poor attitude or unstable demeanour. Of course you can argue that mental attributes can be called Talent, and so can Heart even, but generally, in footballing terms, talent IS how capable a player is in his position, with the ball at his feet or a player to tackle.

I wish Marchisio had much more aggression, more bite in the challenge. And more of a desire to be constantly involved rather than ghost in and out of games...I find Balotelli to be irritating, with a shockingly arrogant character, but in terms of natural talent, for his position, compared with Claudio's natural talent, in Claudio's position...Balotelli is far more talented, to my eyes and football mind at least. A prize prick, but still...extremely talented.

I would say that a measure of Greatness demands more consideration of attitude, spirit, heart, demeanour and morality, than a measure of Talent.

I understand what you're saying, Im against racism myself but have a look at Sissoko, Muntari, Seedorf, etc. etc. They're not having a very hard time with racism because they dont ask for it.

Anyhow, we'll see.

Cheers

I understand your point because im not trying to merge talent with attitude, im only saying that in order to be able to use your talent you need the right attitude because like you said due to a poor attitude, you can waste your talent, and when that talent is gone, then you're not talented.

When i said talent is also attitude, i meant that they are very strongly connected, maybe i should have been more clear.

Anyway well said mate.

No worries, mate...We just have different ways of saying the same thing. And like you, i hope that claudio has an amazing season and truly announces himself to at least Italy, perhaps the Europa league also, as a star in the making.

If he wants a raise then he should play better.

The guy has talent but he really hasn't impressed for a while now so its a silly time to be asking for a better contract.

Agreed. He should be promised a new contract in the winter, if he improves on his performances from last year.

Between injuries and confused coaches, the guy's barely been fielded in his preferred position in the past year. I have confidence that he'll put in some great performances in the middle of our 4-4-2.

Also, I seem to remember that he's making something like 1M euro. Is that right? If so, he is underpaid... but I do agree that he should wait until after the season to discuss an increase. It may very well work out to his benefit that way (hopefully).

In situations like this, I wish agents would just keep their fucking mouths shut.
