There was no impact with Marchisio in the first team to begin with.

Atleast Italy created more opportiunities in their first two games plus they were more comfortable on possession simply because they outnumbered the two opponents in mid.

Yea but even without Marchisio at all today the game followed the same formula. Italy did shit all for the first 70 minutes and then panicked realizing they were about to be humiliated so they pushed hard for the final 20.

Marchisio's presence seemed irrelevant.

Lippi destroyed any chance of Italy advancing in te world cup and for Marchisio to play well. They should have started playing 2 in the middle Marchisio and Montolivo and Italy would have had cover and good passing.

Instead he firstly plays Marchisio on the left - FAIL

Lippi was the best coach we have ever had but he is either finished or just had a really bad period in his coaching!!!
