Before season 07/08 I wrote in a swedish forum that I think Marchisio will be the great player and he will be the better one comparing to Giovinco. Directly some guys attacked me and said Gio will be the best player in the world and Marchisio dont have a future at Juve. All I want to say is that I am proud over what i said, haha

The reason many guys here (and everywhere for that matter, I know I wasnt sure until late last sesson) havent rated him highly is beacuse he dosent have a specific trait that he exales at, No great driblling, passing, shooting or tackling , he is decent in most of them.
Thats way at first glance he dosent seem that talented or promesing young player.

But thats the thing with complete midfielders, they seem to grow much slower and without any "flashy" talent pepole take much less notice how they improve slowly in every aspect. It's much harder for a player to develope his overall in every aspect then 2-3 skills that are most importent to thier position, I's much harder and that more imppresive IMO

Complete midfielders have always became great players much latter then other promesing players from their age group that play other roles as they develope much slower and they need to be more mature, Pirlo for exaple started playing reguraly at top level when he was 24.

Because of his Character Claudio is even more promising then by judging him on pure talent baseis. he have fierce competitiveness that is a joy to watch.

If marchsio will keep this curve of improvment we will see a truly amazing and truly "complete" midfielder in 1-2 years time.

Marchisio is fast becoming an excellent player now that he is a regular starter. I think the only problem he is facing is the coming return of Sissoko, with a 4-3-1-2 there are only three CM spots available and Marchisio may be 4th choice behind Melo, Camo, and Sissoko. I hope he gets regular playing time, he has been excellent this season.

i remember everyone saying he will just be a squad player nothing more, i always thought he could become much more.
and hopefully he continues to improve and build upon what is a bright start to his career

You were right.

He is just a very complete midfielder.
I'll stick with my(commentators) description.. "A runner with some brilliant invention now and then."

His passing is hard, but not always completely accurate. I love how he gets out of sticky situations and can surprise with some very technical move. He is very good at keeping the ball at his feet, like a good winger or offensive midfielder is.

He always manages to come out on top in direct confrontations. Wether hes the one with the ball or without going into a one-one, he comes out on top. He is deceptively strong, despite his frail looking physique.

Though maybe his stamina is his best strength, he makes tons of metres yet notice how late game he often lights up... other players get slower he slows down less.

Why does everyone want to take credit for the discovery of Marchisio :D
I remember in Serie B and there was no streams available so we had to rely on commentry from those who had the game at home.

I had never heard of Marchisio and he came on as a sub and after about 20 mins Mark77 commented "when did we sign Stevie Gerrard" :D

I remember thinking this kid must be a beast.

There were streams for every single game as far as I remember. How else did I watch almost every game in Serie B?

Forza Marchisio.
