yes to bad marchisio cant come... a lot of juve do.. will be nice too see Ekdal, we havent seen so much of him this season but his time will come and its not so easy to take one of the 2 playses on the mitfeild when we have so much players there, and hes like the 6th choice... Go Sweden and Ekdal!

Ekdal plays for the younger U-21, meaning the U-19 NT that is soon going to turn into U-21 now in these months, to start the qfs for next generations U-21 team.

But the U-21 facing Italy is those 2-3 years older then him, he isnt in that team. Even if he is good enough.

He is? Nice, this must be the first time? Kept looking around since he came to Juve, and was allways with the U-19 for some reason.

Asked an old coach (and neighbour) of mine who works in the Swedish FA, of why the lanky dandy isnt being called up, and he said its most likely a generation age group think (they tend to be strict with the age groups, only exception being Robin Söder).

I think marchisio deserve to play next to sissoko as a starter. Tiago been good lately but marchisio is the complete package. IMO he's similar to Roma's de rossi.
:agree: our MF looks more well-balanced with Marchisio alongside Momo...Marchisio shields the defence and Momo gets the chance to push forward

man this guy ... this guy ... he is just amazing!!!, i dont no why he isnt always a starter!!! ... much better the sisucko... forza claudio!
that is very harsh on Momo...he was not at his best vs. Chelsea, but he has been quite good for us this season

i think this kid can be our de rossi, in the sense that he has a love for this club and the "grinta" that he shares with him, just like chiellini

He needs to build his strength abit more, then we'll start talking. His progress has been good and yes, he does give this team more of a balance. I actually think he looks good going forward and finding space.

Certainly more mobile than Tiago, but we haven't seen Tiago's best just yet.

I do certainly like the drive forward he brings to side, even as minimal it is compared to other CM's out there. Hopefully he can improve that facet of his game as well, along with his passing. I see him becoming a good all-action midfielder for years to come.
