Basically yes.

You'd really expect for a let's say Dutch youngster(uhmm Affelay) to turn down Juventus, because we loan out youngsters? He's probably never heard of us doing that and even if he did, I still wouldn't imagine him declining because of it.

i think im more with Andy on this one. I can see what your trying to say dom, but even if a youngster doesnt know about how we usually loan youngsters out im sure his agent or somebody else will bring it to his attention. Though i dont know if it would influence his decision that much, if a team like Juve wants you, then any professional player would jump at the opportunity, and try to win his place in the side.

I called him on his claim and he has nothing to support it.

Agents will jump on the money by the way, they won't care if he gets loaned out.

Totally true.

I mean, Dom's trying to say that players don't know anything about club football. Honestly, if you're a player in a major league, you're going to know quite a lot about the actions of clubs there.

I called him on his claim and he has nothing to support it.
Wasn't a claim per se, but rather a suspicion that I believe is true.

Didn't Ivanovic turn us down because he wanted first team football?
Either that or because he was offered more money at Chelsea.

No he didnt, very bad example. He went to one of the most stacked defences in the game, where someone like Alex who is better then anyone we have is benched. Ivanovic would have easily gotten 10 times more chance to get in our meagre defence material.

But he didnt because he was paid high salary in russia, and he wanted to keep it plus more. Hence went to Chelski and not us more prudent selves.

I'm not convinced we have failed to sign youngsters because of our loaning policy, but the policy should be changed because it just doesn't work.

Loaning players should be the exception rather than the rule. Teaching them what is expected of them at Juve and gradualling integrating them with the first team is the way to go.

I do recall that there being rumours about one young player turning us down since he didn't want to go on loan, but I can't remember who it was.

I still believe that anyone who is already good enough to play for us stays and anyone who isn't is loaned out. If they believe themselves to be better than they are and do not wished to be loaned out, they'd probably sulk on our bench instead. Better that the cunt turns us down.

Personally, I think loaning is a very bad aspect of big football. It means that the big clubs can buy all the good players up and just loan them out, keeping the small guys to the side, unless they're privileged enough to grab a player on loan for one season.

I don't like loaning, though there is a place for it.

I would like to see the loaning of players between teams in the same league banned.

Marchisio sposo: congratulazioni Claudio e Roberta. I vostri auguri su JuventusMember

This is one of the issue Platini is trying hard to fix.. big clubs poaching youngsters promising them nice contracts, only to keep them on the bench or loan them out which in turn could diminish their development as a player.

Marchisio ties the knot: congratulations Claudio and Roberta

Claudio Marchisio will remember the year 2008 for a very long time. A season in the spotlight at Empoli (despite an unlucky last-minute relegation), the return to his beloved Juventus for next season and a place at the Peking Olympics secured.

And now a memorable event in his private life too. On Sunday afternoon, the young midfielder crowned his love story and married sweetheart Roberta.

Many congratulations to Claudio and Roberta from all of us here at Juventus.
