Shame though, Marchisio was just starting to make a presence in the match, but as other have said prior to me, Pogba came on and instantaneously altered the dynamics of the match. I get the feeling, the match last year where he strained his knee was something of a turning point. He carried much of his 2011/12 form into the beginning of last season, yet that game where he was totally exhausted and overextended his knee, seems to me, lies the hinge-point between him being a consistent and reliable contributor and his current tendency to disappear and reappear in games at a whim. I hope it isn't a sign of things to come, I know having had 2 knee ops myself, once it becomes a weakness that's it really, it becomes a more-or-less permanent chink in the armour.. 
I know Zach I've been watching Serie A for nearly 20 years. And I've seen fair share of games and players in that time.
Anyway it's silly debating when it's becoming obvious. Nothing against Marchisio who on his day can be useful here and it's a good thing we have such quality midfielders. We'll see how it shapes up from here.
