He had a decent game today. Is it just me or does he link up really well with DP? There were instances today (like the game against Fiorentina last year) where DP found him out of nowhere and he did the same (the offside play where DP controlled the ball brilliantly)

Not even close Cronios. The kid played well with what he has around him.
I remember him playing better with the very same "thing" around him, though.
I do have some expectations from Marchisio and i still consider Melo a great player,
maybe thats the difference of our perspective.
Such displays are disappointing in my eyes! Marchisio was at times aspiring and nearly flawless, close to the levels Sissoko has shown today.
Why wasnt he affected by the "thing" around him?

And considering that Marchisio wasnt actually the bright star in previous games, its safe to say he is off form now!

He's played much better, but I thought he was one of our better players on the night. I can't think of too many mistakes. The problem this time is he wasn't able to perform as many good plays.

Good observation Asif. He does combine very well with Del Piero. They have good understanding and it's like they've been playing for several years together.

That's what happens when you let your best youth products play with the senior team consistently. They build chemistry and you get to see what we see when the two of them link up.
