One thing that Marchisio has and our other midfielders don't is flair, which comes in handy at times in the attacking third. I certainly can't picture asamoah, isla or even vidal dribbling pass defenders and feigning pass inter keeper and score. Actually i don't even rate asamoah high at all, he is predictable, one-dimension and overly dependant on left foot.

plus I have more faith in March compared to pog vidal and other midfielders in terms of loyalty!
Okay I can agree over Asamoah. He can be predictable and easily closed down with decent defenders but Marchisio and flair???:disagree:

I think his current form is because of mentality. He just doesn't commit to attacking areas often enough and runs back the moment his team loses the ball. I rather he plays without the responsibility of having to defend to overcome his current mental state and score more goals. He's got more skills and control than Giaccherini yet it's Giacch who's taking on defenders and Marchisio passing the ball back, that's got to be a mentality problem.
he's a CM, first tendency for him is to look up and make a pass, not try to be tricky and dribble past defenders.

Giacchi's natural role is as SS/WF and hence more natural for him.

also the forward trio was very disjointed, everyonr going everywhere with no clear purpose.

Balotelli himself was all over the place, too eager to get on the ball and do everything himself.

Italy's only concise attacks especially in the 1st half were when Giacchi or De Sciglio stretched the play down the left flank.

If Monaco do place an actual offer for Marchisio..we need to accept, he's been unfairly started for both Juve and Italy for way too long, there are better players, and by better I mean players who actually won't hide behind the defender for 90 minutes and will actually have something to offer to the team (Pogba, Asamoah etc..)

Get rid.

The fact that Prandelli played him out of position is a clear sign that he's not sure what to do with him.

The same can be said for Juve coaches over the last 3-4 seasons.
I can see where you're coming from there. It's not like he has played almost exclusively at LCM for club and country over the last two seasons.

Depends on the opponent, really. We play many games this season, so having 4 very good CMs would be ideal for us. Selling any of them at this point would be pointless.
Exactly, Marchisio is a very good player, especially in the 4-3-3- where he dominates, he was our second or thrid best player in Conte's first season after Pirlo and Barzagli, He had a down half season this year but so did a lot of our players....
