I watched the game on a mexican channel it said he played as a right forward. Prandelli should have played him as a left forward or a cm
He wasn't right forward. He played in a slightly advanced role. It wouldn't be much different if he was pushed back a little. Anonymous as usual. I expect him to be dropped.

totally on Prandelli this one, if you're not going to play him to his strengths then don't play him at all.
I think his current form is because of mentality. He just doesn't commit to attacking areas often enough and runs back the moment his team loses the ball. I rather he plays without the responsibility of having to defend to overcome his current mental state and score more goals. He's got more skills and control than Giaccherini yet it's Giacch who's taking on defenders and Marchisio passing the ball back, that's got to be a mentality problem.

I dint suggest he should play there per se.
I was just saying that out of the current options it wud be better to play him there instead of someone else if we used a formation involving an AM.

Invisible once again at least he does it at International level as well..

Honestly still can't understand why players like Candreva dont replace him with Italy and Pogba/Asamoah at Juve...

We can easily trade him in for a quality striker while he's still worth something

Candreva isn't that good. He lacks tactical discipline. Wouldn't put him tbh before Marchisio. But I wouldn't start Marchisio again for Italy.
