I absolutely have to disagree.

Marchisio there, is excellent offcourse.
Wether we will be agressively pressing, or falling deep in a narrow sparan shape like milan does, its both great.



Madrid has its central attacking midfielder and attacker locked in a bunch of players, he wont be touching the ball alot, one of them will drop back, like messi usually does ar barcelona.
Like allways, the two holding midfielders, will be the creative force, whilst the flanks must provide the penitration and chances, with the CAM looking for space around the striker.

Playing marchisio there, is excellent as he'll be right in their creative center, looking to disrupt the buildup, where pogba and vidal can actively block out the cam, and assits if they overlap on the flanks.

Offensively, pogba has a tremendous long pass, and a great long shot. Marchisio is mostly excellent when he can make those penitrating runs in the box.

this formation allows both.
