Remember guys that we still won 3-1 at the Bernabeu

Except Barca there are not many teams that have achieved similar results there
We went out fighting and earned the football commmunity's respect, unfortunately the mercato spark and aggression we have been awaiting for years is gonna fail to appear. On the pitch however we sent the right message to players in terms of being a competitive destination but exor have different objectives than fans

This strangely makes me more confident about or chances next season.

When we actually play with confidence, swagger, heart and passion, we are a match for any team. This game needs to serve as a blueprint for our CL games going forward (especially against big teams)

:agree:

Fuck Exor if they can't be bothered to invest in this club after the 4 years we have had. Allegri has shown he can beat any team in football, with minimal financial backing for transfers, and a couple of his star players being sold every summer. If they can't be bothered to inject a reasonable amount to remedy the last couple holes in the starting XI (literally just 1 world class CM and 1 world class RB), then fuck them.

Proud of the players, the coach, the management. It's time for the board to show their support for this project too.

This game also showed the difference between Juventus' first choice CB pairing of Benatia-Chiellini vs any other combination we can field. Barzagli is done and should never see the pitch against teams like Madrid. And Rugani needs to develop further before he's ready which is just fine.

As well, Pjanic makes our midfield tick. Even when he isn't in great form, our midfield is night and day, with and without him.

We need that top CM to partner with him and whoever else.

Our CBs were exposed a lot of times in the first half, I'm still not entirely confident with even the best pairing we can put out there. One CB needed.

Need two CM as well, ideally we need to play with three midfielders

Then RB

Picky but I think that's really the only way that will make us reach new heights

They need to give :beppe: the money to sign a top class CM (or two) and starting quality RB at the very least.

    Chiellini: 'First Bayern, now Juve...'
    Football Italia

Giorgio Chiellini said it “shouldn’t be surprising” Real Madrid beat Juventus with a soft penalty, because “Bayern Munich went through it last year.”

The Bianconeri had turned around a 3-0 first leg defeat by leading at the Bernabeu, but 30 seconds away from extra time in the Champions League quarter-final, Real were awarded a penalty.

Replays show Medhi Benatia got the ball and Lucas Vazquez went down very easily.

“It shouldn’t be surprising, Bayern Munich went through it last year and this was Juve’s turn,” Chiellini told Mediaset Premium.

The defender also could face a fine or even suspension after making the ‘money’ gesture at Raphael Varane and asking if he had “paid” for the ref.

“Between the first leg and this one, just about everything happened. It’s laughable that the Italian refereeing designator said things are going well in the Champions League.

“Nobody thought we could turn it around, but we believed and it’ll help us for the next Champions League campaigns. It’ll be an objective for the future.”

Juventus President Andrea Agnelli demanded VAR technology in the tournament, but Chiellini thinks the situation is beyond that.

“It wasn’t an issue of VAR, because the referee still needs to have courage and a conscience. The referee must try to be less of a protagonist and give only clear-cut decisions.

“You could tell at the time it wasn’t a penalty, but seeing the footage back it’s just laughable. We must remember that we beat Real Madrid 3-0 on their own turf and only a crazy person would’ve believed that going in.

“We could’ve scored five or six goals tonight, so we ought to be proud. We want to win the seventh Scudetto.”
chiellini getting a suspension? yeah I'd love to know what uefa are gonna do about ramos sitting with the bench despite being suspended himself.
