And this makes me stubborn? Do you know what the word means?
yeah i know what it does mean, I was refering to going on with this argument forever when you know that buffon is Irreplaceable. and starting all this over.

++ [ originally posted by tarmpropp ] ++
Then why did you try and convince me off Buffons abilities? I never doubted him, you started "selling" him, like I didn't rate him. What do you call that?
And you call that deciding your opinion. well that's good, i did that cause i felt you rate him less than he deserves. do you know what does it mean to decide others opinion.??

I haven't tried passing off my opinions like facts, much unlike you. In my eyes that makes you the wise guy.
I didn't pass them as facts, i was just saying my opinion and you could have easily agreed or disagreed.instead you just jumped on my back and started opposing me. and i was refering to "I'll go through it slowly for you, try and pay attention" as being a wise guy.

So everyone who doesn't agree with you is an idiot? Ok...

?!
Why???
I didn't say that, i said if you know what my opinion is and what my point is and you agree with it then you are an idiot for keeping this argument going on.

Olympiakos need to get by the world's best keeper

09/29/2003. Greek champions Olympiakos host Italian champions and last year's Champions League finalists Juventus on Tuesday night at the Rizoupolis-Apollon stadium.

Olympiakos still cannot forget what happened on March 17th, 1999, when 5 minutes before the end of the match against Juventus, a mistaken play by goalkeeper Dimitris Elefteropoulos sent the Bianconeri to the semifinals.

Since that magical year, Olympiakos have continuously failed in European competitions even though they have crowned themselves Greek champions for seven years in a row.

Olympiakos are considered to be group D's most beatable side, especially due to their habit of offering terrible away displays. Their opening match against Real Sociedad confirmed this tendency as they Greeks fell at San Sebastian through a late Kovacevic penalty.

Juventus started off their CL run in a better fashion thanks to their 2-1 defeat of Galatasaray. However the Bianconeri coached by Marcello Lippi did not offer a convincing performance that day, and were lucky to get away with the win.

The electric atmosphere the Bianconeri are expected to find in Athens will make life extremely difficult for them, especially because they will be without the charisma and class of skipper Alessandro Del Piero.

The good news for coach Marcello Lippi is that he will be able to count on defender Nicola Legrottaglie and striker David Trezeguet, two players that missed Juve's successful Reggina roadtrip last weekend.

The match against the Calabresi demonstrated Juventus can overcome with ease what appear to be extremely dangerous situations. The Athens match will be a further test to this ability.

"Olympiakos are very dangerous at home thanks to their great skill and small stadium. The energy that is created surely gives them something extra. But a team like Juventus, that has a lot of ambitions, can't be scared by the fact that they are playing away from home," Lippi told reporters on Tuesday.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

Cristian Karembeu (Olympiakos)-He will have to deal with a central trio composed by Appiah, Tacchinardi, and Davids. It's his chance to prove he is not a player of the past.

Pavel Nedved (Juventus)-When Del Piero is absent the Czech 'martian' automatically becomes Juve's leader. He happens to love this role.

PROBABLE LINE-UPS

Olympiakos (4-4-2) : Katergiannakis, Mavrogenidis, Anatolakis, Antzas, Venetidis, Georgiadis, Karembeu, Stoltidis, Djordjevic, Giovanni, Castillo.

Juventus (4-3-1-2) :Buffon, Thuram, Legrottaglie, Montero, Zambrotta, Appiah Tachinardi,Davids, Nedved, Trezequet, Di Vaio.

That's not true, cause you called me stubborn after my first post.
And you call that deciding your opinion. well that's good, i did that cause i felt you rate him less than he deserves. do you know what does it mean to decide others opinion.??
Yep. You "felt" that I rated him less than you, when I never said anything like it. You made that up by yourself.
I didn't pass them as facts, i was just saying my opinion and you could have easily agreed or disagreed.instead you just jumped on my back and started opposing me. and i was refering to "I'll go through it slowly for you, try and pay attention" as being a wise guy.
Look through what you wrote and see how you made your points clear. You've stated them as absolutes, without any reasoning.
It's not my fault that I had to go through it slowly for you, I'm just trying to get my point across so you'll understand me. If anything you should thank me for being patient.

I didn't say that, i said if you know what my opinion is and what my point is and you agree with it then you are an idiot for keeping this argument going on.
No, it seems like things are going to fast for you again. You said that anyone who didn't see that we could replace Nedved with Maresca or Miccoli was an idiot. Myself and several others don't agree. I don't think you're and idiot for not ageeing with me, and you should also try to approach other peoples opinion like that. Your opinion isn't the only one out there.

hmm aragorn passes his opinion off as fact.

well what he is implying is that we cant win anything if we dont have buffon. hmm. real dont have him. neither do man u. milan didnt. did bayern have him when they won?

fact is buffon does his job phenomenally well. he is very very consistent but being a goalkeeper his job and role in the team is limited as it is. not that he's a bad person or anything but for someone to truly be irreplacable they need to have a certain 'character'.

its something they reek of. something that is part of them and contributes not only skill wise but provide something for the team on an emotional level. im not saying buffon does not have it. im saying i havent seen it in him.

ive seen it in dp and in nedved. hell ive seen it in davids although he isnt a very emotionally mature player on the pitch in terms of reliability- with his red cards and all.

do i need to explain any more?
no,
and i'll tell you 3 words and that's th end of my opinions on buffon's topic:

BUFFON IS PERFECT.

Listen this is just plain stupid, i won't be continuing this shity argument with you. and please remind me not to get into any with you again. and if you like to be respected as well as your opinions, then you should learn how to respect others and their opinions.

again Buffon is the real only irreplaceable player we have got, all others have good back ups even if they aren't in their level to get the job done. That's my opinion, and i guess many agree with me on it.

You sure Lac! 'Cause the goalies role in a team is equal to all 10 other players. Maybe your saying this cause you dont know how it is when your actually out there on the pitch. Man try being a goalie for a day then come back and tell Buffon how his role in the team is so limited its not like he scores for us like DP:D Trust me remember when your little and your picking teams the geeks always ended up in goal. Well our geek is Buffon the worlds best:cool:

About the match, I hope we wear our pink shirts, u know 4 gay luck:cool: Ez

I doubt we'll wear pink because Olympiakos' home strip is red and white.

actually thats the reason we'll wear pink... coz 2 striped teams would be more confusing.
IMO colours are more distinguishable than patterns... think Arsenal v Man U

By the way, I put more photos up in the Juve in the USA thread.

I finally remembered to re-install my camera software so that I could resize the photos.
