Actually many overrate Danilo. He is a decent player but shouldnt really be a starter.
When he is on the right he is ok but when he is in a central position - this is where he is suspicious.
He connects well with the midfield but his defensive abilities could be much better.

Of course he’s not that great in a central position. He’s a fullback, not a midfielder or CB. But the last couple seasons he has been an excellent fullback for us.

So your argument is that the fullback is overrated because he’s not as good as a midfielder?

And I’d argue he’s been more than ok the past year +. He was probably our most consistent player last season and has continued that form so far this season.

No, my argument is that Danilo is ok when he is playing wide but when he is in central position (central means like a CB position only that I refer to the times he is positioning himself there and not to his whole role) When he gets to that sort of positions he simply isnt good enough.

When he is placed wide yes he is doing ok.
When he is forced into central position like when the opposition attack from the opposite flank and etc.
