I didn't think this game was as bad as people are making out.
It wasn't great and it certainly wasn't pretty, but we went away in the CL with a very depleted squad and controlled the game and won.
I thought the first half was good and that Amauri and Diego seemed to be getting to know each other. Several chances were made and we should have been further ahead.
The team, understandably, got nervous in the second half, but the defence stood firm and the team made a better effort at controlling possession when in the lead than often happens (still not good, but an improvement).
If you'd offered me this situation in the group at before the first game, I would have taken it. We have to fuck up to not qualify, and that is all you can ask for.
Diego was the best player on the pitch.
Honourable mentions for Poulsen and Legrottaglie.
