Come on guys. They can barely string 3 passes together, there's really nothing fluid about this side. They have 8 butchers and 2 players who can produce something in Aouar (who's having a terrible game) and Depay. Press the back 4 and they will kick the ball out or a long pass towards Dembele. It's a side that plays on nothing else than pure physicality and aggression. Baffling how we found ourselves in this position against a team like this. If only we weren't mediocre ourselves...

Watching them against Paris. Lyon look solid, aggressive, and fluid. The second half will show their fitness level, but so far they play almost like there was no lockdown.
Good... all in all, we will be out .... better sooner than of more humiliating one...so we start a surgery in this team ...

ahh the CL .... we are a league team not a cup one

Their passing has been quite poor indeed, but they compensate it with their physicality and aggression, which allow them to have agility and fluidity, even if it's a bit clumsy. Not sure they will be able to maintain it for the entire game though.

To be fair, it's not only about those possible legendary Leo's back leg tackles - fullbacks will also have to play their best defensive game of the season, because they will be under significant pressure as well.

Man, the pessimism is in full force on the forum!
Chin up guys.
Whom am I fooling?
Rightfully so. We limped to a title, not because of our coach but in spite of him. The toilet bowl tactics we've been deploying over the past couple of months might have worked in Serie A, largely due to individual brilliance and failure of others, but they're unlikely to work in Europe. One error and you're out. We're already nursing a deficit, so the margins become much finer, much thinner. If we had Allegri, I'd be confident he'd figure something out, but with Il Mister Tobacco Breath, I have ZERO confidence.

Imagine, they waited 5 months for this game. During all these time, they managed to train, run, be on top of their fitness level, and they had the chance to analyze and overanalyze our games. Unless sarri was fucking with their heads by playing terrible football.
