Hm, true. Nedved looks to carry a few extra pounds on the first picture. But then again, it's hard to tell because he is wearing two sweaters.

I hope and think Nedved will be back at his best tonight. Maybe a classic long range shot in the top corner. :dazed:

GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH time is moving so slowly. Start, match, start.

I have noticed that ever since Juve started to play 4-3-3, Zambrotta hasn't been able to run those offensive raids I've always seen as part of his style, and he must take a huge defensive responsibility, with the left flank on his own. Putting Nevded on the left is probably due to this and to give Camoranesi more freedom than he has in a three-man midfield. Also, I doubt Capello would try a new formation in a game like this, these things take time to adapt too.

The key in our game is Emerson, imo.
He's got to work much harder this time. It's a midfield war.
Liverpool midfielder scares me, they're very fast.
We lost Tacchi (suspension) and I just hope that Blasi will have a good performance as defensive midfielder (along with Emo).
We need to be careful of making a mistake inside/outside the box area. Gerrard would be happy with this..
But they'll miss Hamann too, thank goodness. This guy could be very dangerous,..a very unpredictable player.
It's a lil bit rude but I hope Dudek will make fool mistakes as usual.

I'd love 4-2-3-1, but hopefully any formula will work tonight.

Thank you for your warm welcomes!

I think Nedved will be on the teamsheet as a left midfielder but he will come in field to join in with attacks.

We have a player called Luis Garcia who is a little like Nedved, he starts on the flanks and then gets into the centre. Like Nedved, he is two footed to an extent that LFC fans don't know which is his stronger foot!

Is he any good?

cause in the first half when he was 1 on 1 with the keeper,he actually crossed the ball

so I guess he's not that good

I think you mean in the first half against Leverkusen, which i can remember. But every player makes mistakes and Garcia does. He can be seen as a little lightweight in the premier league, but he makes up for it with his skill, trickery and eye for goal.

Ibrahimovic seems to pee his pants in front of goal - but i don't doubt his class!

I hope Xabi Alonso can make a return sometime in the second half and he is a real powerhouse! Have you seen him play?

Oh, right against Bolton he was found out because they are a very physical team and Luis Garcia finds it difficult against physical teams.

Anyway, i'm hoping Xabi can make an appearance in the second half and you can see the kind of player he is.

Bullshit !!!!!

When he is put on the left by CRAP, he usually doesnt get to the center of the field with the ball, because someone fouls him along the way.

He hasnt scored when he plays on the left flank, because he doesnt get in good enough position to take shots - he needs to be in the middle of the field

Most serie A teams wont let him near the middle of the field, even when he doesnt have the ball......

Maybe you dont watch enough games to see that Neddy is wasted on the wing............
Hey man, do you guys have Juventus games on pay-per-view in NY?

LIVERPOOL v JUVENTUS

On 29 May 1985, as the two sides were preparing to contest the European Cup final in Brussels, a wall collapsed at the ground, killing 39 people.

The Juventus supporters were trying to escape crowd trouble before kick-off.

There will be a minute's silence ahead of the Champions League quarter-final at Anfield to remember those who died before Juve's hollow 1-0 victory.

Every Juventus fan will be given an armband in red, black and white, with the inscription "friendship" in English and Italian.

Liverpool fans will also build a mosaic with the Italian word for friendship, Amicizia, alongside the Liver bird and both clubs' colours.

Phil Neal, Liverpool's captain at Heysel, will help fans from Liverpool's Kop end carry a banner proclaiming "In memoria e Amicizia" - in memory and friendship - to the Juventus end.

We very much regret what happened - I hope we can all forgive and forget and move on
Liverpool chief executive Rick Parry

It will bear the first names of the Heysel victims and a union of the Liver bird and Juve zebra.

Ian Rush, who played for both clubs, is pictured wearing a split Liverpool and Juventus kit to promote togetherness in a brochure that also carries a personal message from the former striker.

It will also contain a fresh apology from Liverpool.

Liverpool chief executive Rick Parry hopes that the match, dubbed the Game of Friendship, will help the clubs and fans develop closer ties.

He told BBC Five Live: "It will be poignant. I hope we can give a very warm welcome to the Juventus supporters.

"It is about friendship and looking forward. It's not just about the clubs, it's important that each set of fans build bridges to each other.

Mark Lawrenson recalls Heysel nightmare

"We very much regret what happened. I hope we can all forgive and forget and move on."

The teams were paired together in the draw last month.

Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez believes the two clubs can use the occasion to forge stronger links and look to the future.

"If you want to help people the most important thing is talking about positive things and the future. You have to have positive words for people around the tragedy," said Benitez.

"I have seen the problems all those years ago and I say the best thing is to think about the good relations now between the supporters.

"We have done, as a club, the things we have to do. Now my responsibility is to do the best for the club and give our supporters something to cheer about by winning."

I hope with this match we can close a chapter and that we will play football in the right spirit
Alessandro Del Piero
Juventus striker

Juventus coach Fabio Capello was a reporter at the game 20 years ago and he is pleased that the clubs have an opportunity to come together again.

"It is a very nice thing indeed to have these two important teams playing a very important game," said Capello.

"I am proud to be the coach of Juventus and to be meeting Liverpool again in remembrance of that sad event."

Striker Alessandro del Piero added: "I hope with this match we can close a chapter and that we will play football in the right spirit and the fans will also have that right spirit."
