The only thing that worries me is if Liverpool play FAST TEMPO game with us being rusty after the two weeks bye

In the past juve struggled against fast opponents
is it still the case?

WHAT DO U THINK GUYS?
We have always problems with English opponents. But if we play our play, I am not like english style with long balls and running after the ball then we can break them down.

For people who don't know about english style, I refer them to the following Illustration

With Italy not playing last week and Serie A taking a break the last weekend, the press are sure to rant about Juve having an "advantage",when actually the team is actually less oiled and in tune after the two week interval.

Nedved is important player , the major concern is that isn't tested yet , he did not play competitive game since last jan ( i wil skip real 35 min ) , i don't know if he will affect the balance , changing formations 3-4 time in one season isn't good for the stability , fiorentina game was good test for us but it was canceled , last game for the team was aginest reggina on 19th of march !!!! it's 2 weeks without a match as a team , i am not happy with this sitiuation

There are at least two liverpool players that I am really afraid of:
1. Gerrard : with his powerful shoots
2. Baros: with his runs
Gerrard is extremely overrated, and who??? Baros  I would rate Zalayeta over him without thinkin twice...

Baros is fast player and we may have some problems there
But I am not worried much about him but about fact that Canna has 2 jelow cards and he must be careful

GERRARD RELISHING JUVENTUS VISIT
Mark Platt 04 April 2005
Steven Gerrard is licking his lips in anticipation at the prospect of taking on the might of Juventus in Tuesday's mammoth Champions League clash at Anfield and insists the Reds will not just be turning up to make up the numbers.
The Reds skipper fully admits Juve are favourites to progress from this eagerly awaited two-legged tie but believes Liverpool are more than capable of pulling off a shock.

He says: "It's particularly important that I raise my game to a different level for this match. It's a massive game and we have done extremely well to get to the last eight of this competition.

"I know we are going into it as underdogs. But I have spoken to David Beckham and Michael Owen while I was on England duty about how Juventus shaped up against Real Madrid and they said we have nothing to fear and to just go out and give it a good go.

"The Champions League is a massive competition and the bigger game the better because that's what we live for as players.

"And I want our progress to continue. While we will enjoy the experience of playing Juventus, we are not just turning up to make up the numbers, we want to qualify for the semi-finals.

"I realise the importance of the home leg. A clean sheet at Anfield is massive - if they were to score at our place it would leave us with a mountain to climb."

Gerrard may be forced once again to play in a more advanced attacking role against Juventus due to the lack of available strikers and he adds: "We are short all over and there's maybe a chance I may have to play up front against Juventus.

"I don't mind playing up front - I have managed to nick a few goals up there in the past. Obviously I am no 100 per cent comfortable up front but wherever I am played by any manager I'll give it my best shot."

It is not like he is not good, he is a real good midfielder, but he is also way way overrated by the Premier Legaue supporters....

RAFA: WE CAN UPSET THE ODDS AGAINST JUVE
Mark Platt 04 April 2005
Rafael Benitez is refusing to write off Liverpool's chances of overcoming Juventus in the Champions League quarter-final, despite admitting his side are underdogs ahead of Tuesday's first leg.
The Anfield boss cites Juve's greater experience, quality of players and the remarkable injury crisis he's been forced to contend with for his reasoning.

But he remains quietly confident the Reds' 2004/05 European adventure can continue at the expense of Italy's 'Old Lady' and has spelt out the importance of keeping a clean sheet at home in the first leg.

"Juventus are big favourites to win the game. They have greater experience and excellent players," says Benitez.

"You don't often see fantastic players in bad teams. Juventus have great players like Pavel Nedved and Alessandro del Piero, but it is their teamwork that makes them successful.

"Most of the Italian teams are like that. When the draw was made we agreed the Italians might be the most dangerous. Juventus are among the best, with Milan. They are strong, they have very good players, and they know the game.

"It would be a challenge to beat them even with my best team. The problems that we have make it even harder.

"That is not to say we have no chance because it is my job to find weaknesses in their team and exploit them.

"The important thing is to keep a clean sheet. That's not to say a goalless draw will be good for us. We want to win the game but we also want to make sure Juventus don't score."

Baros is absolute class. And no this opinion wasn't formed because of EURO 2004. I thought that of him before the EURO when he didn't even play much. That opinion continued and I still maintain it in this year's EPL campaign.
