No way past Juve, says Ron Thursday 10 March, 2005

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Real Madrid ace Ronaldo, who has today opened the door for an Inter return, has praised Juventus’ defensive strength.

The Brazilian was dumped out of the Champions’ League last night after the Bianconeri won 2-0, thus ensuring a 2-1 aggregate victory.

"We came to Turin to win," said the striker, who was sent-off in the tie. "We did have a few chances but we were unlucky with them.

"We perhaps should have been more decisive as we got inside their penalty area quite regularly, but we couldn’t do anything about it.

"Qualification would have been a lot easier had we scored a goal but Juventus have a great defence."

Speculation suggests that Wednesday’s game may have been his last for Real in Europe, as rumours of a possible swap with Inter sensation Adriano continue.

"I will always have Inter in my heart but I’ve not heard these voices," said the South American.

"I would happily return but there have been no negotiations and no contact. The club have also said nothing about a possible Adriano bid."

Ronaldo joined Real, who have been associated with Adriano for the last six months, in the summer of 2002 after the player asked to quit the Italian giants.

Meanwhile, Madrid striker Raul believes that his side lost the tie by only winning 1-0 in Spain.

"We tried our best but it was difficult to score," said the Spaniard. "Our performance in the first leg deserved to reward us with more than just one goal.

"We didn’t end the tie there and Juventus were able to take advantage of the chances they created in the second leg."

well, well, well..what can i say? :)

Your players rose to the occassion. As simple as that :)

I dont want to stir any contraversy here, but dont you find it interesting that everything you did good started when DP left the pitch?

Zlatan - missed a lot, but he created most of those chances anyway. He was a danger all throughout the game.

Camo - absolutely replaced Nedved the same game two years ago. He was a driving force behind your team performance.

Cana - That guy is a rock. Winning attitude more than anyone else.

Zalayeta - nothing spectacular, but his presence was felt althroughout the game. he was involved in some way with most of the actions juve made.

great game by Juve. Congartz :)

Ooooooooooooo man I am so happy
Everyone I love you so much on this forum
I havent red your posts but I will every one last of them I wanna know how you fill
I know you all love JUVE as much as I do
FORZA JUVE

My wiews:

EXCELENT MATCH FROM ALL OF OUR PLAYERS!
They really made me proud I love them all
I was so thrilled I almost cried
I knew we were able to win and go through
we repeted that performance from two years ago AND WITHOUT PAVEL
FORZA JUVE

But I must say that we were lucky not to concede Real had so much space especially in the first half and also in the rest of the game

BRAVO BUFFON!-6.5
He was super concentrated whole match, didnt have much work, made that really good save to that pig ronaldo, I just know that if the game went to penalties that he would be better the calisas

BRAVO ZEBINA!-7
I know many of us bashed him whole year but this guy was great against roma and now in this game, Moggi must have thought he will bring someone to his position but surely that wont happen now becuse Zeb is proving like a very good RB
Man my heart almost stoped when he went ranning up the pitch in the final minutes and he pased gravesen like he wast there at all:D

BRAVO THURAM!-7
In the final minutes when almost all real players went to our half of the pitch he jumped so many times and cleared the ball, super concentrated hole match

BRAVO CANNAVARO!-7 This guy is really great player, and interisti are surely crying now for him, just like Lilian and Gigi super concentrated hole match even when we are attacking, I was so happy to see him on Lilians back, he was carrying him after the match:D

BRAVO ZAMBROTTA!-6.5
he could have had more runs to their half because their right side was crap but who cares we won, Zambro can do better and I know he will in the next matches

BRAVO CAMORANESI!-8.5
since he came to Juve he has benn my favorite player and I will try to be as objestive as I can, IMO he is definetly the MOM, I dont know will you agree I havent red your post yet, Camo had pases, croses, runs, driblings, made defensive work... again BRAVO CAMO! He made our players not to even notice that Pavel wast there, he took his role, Camo is very consistent this year which was his biggest problem in past seasons

BRAVO EMERSON!-8
This was the guy we missed last season, Emo was great, comentator on tv said he hasnt lost any batlle in the midfield, he did what he could considering we played 3 guys in the midfield in such imporatant game, Emo didnt stop running entire match, and I had a felling that all our players
could run for another116:D minutes

BRAVO PESSOTTO!-6.5
I was suprised to see him from the start in midfield considering his age but he had solid first half, tried to combine with Zambro, it worked a little on that left side, did good defensive work

BRAVO ZALAYETA!-7.5
Man when he scored I jumped, and celebrated, good he stayed for the hole match, I noticed he also helped midfield, man I dont know were will we use Mutu because IMO Zala deserves place in next year team, last night he moved well and combined well with other attackers

BRAVO IBRAHIMOVIĆ!-7.5
Zlatan was just great he sometimes pased the ball and sometimes dribled, but kicked the ball to much to the stands, asisted to trez for the first goal and I have no idea how he saved the ball from not going out, I was so happy to see him making full of gravesen at the end of match, in one moment he drewed four players on himself in the penalty area (that was crazy) and passed yhe ball to Pesotto who missed

BRAVO DEL PIERO!-6.5
IMO it was right desicion from Cappelo to replace him with Trez becuse until that moment he lost many balls, and was very slow, I must say that he tried and he returned for ball to our half, It seems he is inconsistent this season (he has one very good match like against siena and than he srews everything, but Cappelo must have regreted for raplecing him because of those free kicjs we had later in the match

BRAVO MONTERO!(for warming up almost hole match:D:D:D)-9
Just kiding

BRAVO TREZEGUET!-7
BEAUTIFUL GOAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! he did moved well entire match considering he has been out but trez really made me happy last night as all our players did, That goal will stay in my memory for the rest of my life

BRAVO TACCHINARDI!-5
I told ya he will get red card, decision from Cappelo not to play him from the start proved out well, He know Tacchi would go crazy, but he was solid in the midfield

BRAVO OLIVERA!
For entering onto the pitch:D

BRAVO CAPPELO!-7.5
He proved once again he is one of the best tacticians in the world if not he best, when owen was entering onto the pitch Cap pointed his finger at him, and said to some our player to kepp an eye on him:D that was funny,
I saw Capp he was very happy with the victory, good decisions from him, subs too

Luxemburgo made the biggest mistake of his life when he substituted Zidane(I dont know maybe he was injured) bit I think he wanted to prove that real can play without Zidane
I cant beliave I will write this: I AM GLAD BECKHAM WAS SUBSTITUTED ALSO, because that free kick that figo took, beckam would surely scored there

WE PROVED WE HAVE IT WHAT IT TAKES TO WIN THIS YEAR CL
WE PLAYED GREAT,WITH DETERMINATION
OUR PLAYERS DIDNT TALK BEFORE THE MATCH TO MEDIA LIKE REAL PLAYERS DID
I AM PROUD OF THIS TEAM I WILL NEVER STOP SUPPORTING IT NO METTER WHAT

FORZA JUVE!!!

Gianluca Zambrotta, Juventus midfield player
We cannot be happier than this. We fully deserved to qualify, giving them a real footballing lesson. Ahead of the game, Madrid were talking as if qualification was a certainty, but tonight, Juve were the real galácticos :D.

David Beckham, Madrid midfield player
I don't know what made the difference today. We came here to win. But we knew it'd be difficult because Juve are very strong, especially at home. We are very, very disappointed.

Did ya ever hear a worst of this  Becks ya r a real Jerk

For two reasons:
1- During those few minutes Zidane left the field too. That was our biggest boost.
2- We really needed a finisher. Trezeguet is our true finisher. Ibrahimovic was moving faster than Del Piero. But this is expected he is younger and has better fitness.

IMO Del Piero used his experience and talent to hold on to the ball in the center in favour of Juve. This was slowing Real alot, which was a good thing.
The downside during that time Zlatan was playing as a finisher, he is a finihser assistant not a true finisher. Besides don't forget that real were really lucky not to find 2 or 3 goals difference by the first break. We missed 4 very good chances to score. I still can't believe how did Zlatan miss that shot infront of the goal which he shot right to the goaly.

Greetings guys...
What a freak'n night, I will keep on ****'n those stupid Real Madrid lovers for weeks now...
I have to admit that Capello is a ****'n genious, I thought he will never be able to prevent Madrid from scoring, but our rocky deffence kept our clean sheet for 120 min, even with the strange tactic he used during the game who expect him to strat Pessotto??? or to take DP out in the 55 min??? but I promise I won't complain about his decisions from now on as he can knock out those Gala@ss ****ers....
My Rating

Buffon 6.5 I expected more presseure of Real tonight, he made a great save on Carlos's free kick, Buffon is Buffon and I think no one can argue about the best Goalie in the world for the next 7-8 years...

Zebina 6 Sorry Zebina, but I don't think ya r good enough for Juve, some of ya might say that he was ok tonight but personally I think we need upgrade in summer.....

Thuram 6.5 class is class, and Thuram is a world class deffender and on eof the best in the last decade should I say more???

Canna 7 this guy makes ya enjoy deffence he always find a new way to take the ball out of the attacker, very solid gives the fat @ss a very hard time....

Zambro 6 usually he contribute more in attacks, but in deffence he was ok...

Camo 7 mades a great second half, showing confidence and skills our best midfielder today with no doubt...

Emerson 6.5 He played alone in the center against that galacticos most of the time, very solid and wins us many important balls in the middle...

Pessotto 6 gives his best during first half helping Zambrotta to concentrate more in deffence, not a bad idea by Capello...

DP 6 He was doing good I surprised when Capello subbed him as I expected him to subb Zala, but at the end of the day Zala score our winner in 116 min so who wanna critisize Capello any more :D

Zala 6.5 he had a great volley that go centimeters wide of the post but he nevers give up, this is my man Zala...
By the way I really think Zala should marry a spanish woman cuz he proved how good he can do on ****'n thier lovely @ss...

Zlatan 7.5 man of the match to me, samuel, helguera, gravessen find it real hard to compette with his phisical ability if only he improves his touch near the goal I would give him 10...

Tacchi 6 ya makes Ronaldo have a red card :D I love yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa for maki'n this bastered even suffer more...

Trezeguet 6.5 great volley saved our @ss, one of the best in the world when it comes to such situations I will not even ask ya to move yar lazy @ss more :D

Capello 8 Genious

By the way REAL think they are THE TEAM. HAHAHA. The only thing Real are really good at is passing the ball between them. most of their players are masters of ball passing. This is why they keep winning. But thats about it.
They only have names, but they don't have quality.
Casilas: IMO is the luckiest goal keeper in the world. It is really a shame they are comparing him to buffon the great. He just gets lucky with some saves and that many players shoot the ball right at him, e.g. Ibrahimovic during both games.
Figo: they keep talking about him as if he was a god. Well if he is god, then who is pessotto?? Pessotto managed to CONTROL HIM.
Beckham: He is one of the most over rated players in the world. he is a terrific free kick shooter, but thats it.
Zidane: Is the world best player during the past 20 years. He is the one who is make real win.
R. Carlos: Used to be a very good player. Now he is a average, but still can shoot.
Graveson: Maybe their best purchase. He gave them streangth in the midfield.
Raul: I am a big fan of him, but he was distoryed when Morientis left. Real gave away the best duo in the world "Raul and Morientis"
Ronaldo: He is a baby. Couldn't qualify to be a soccer player in my book.
Owen: What a waste, I am a big fan.. I understand that you wanted to get trophies, but it was a mistake to leave Liverpool for Real.

They don't have anyone in deffence worth mentioning.

The thing is, they really believe that they are the DREAM TEAM. With the amounts their management are paying for players they are stupid not to win every match they play.

REALLY REALLY BAD MANAGEMENT.

An extraordinary Juventus achieved a great goal right in front of their supporters. They turned the defeat at the Bernabeu over and qualifies to Champions’ League quarter finals. Qualification was achieved in the extra time after the full time had ended 1-0 by Trezeguet’s goal on 30’ minutes into the second half. The winning goal that beated Real Madrid was scored on 11’ minutes of the second half of extra time by Zalayeta: he’s not new to such performances as he scored the qualifying goal two years ago, again in extra-time and again against a Spanish club, Barcelona.

The Delle Alpi tonight is a display of colours, supporters amd football. Juventus and Real Madrid meet in an emotional and struggled match, exciting the fully crowded stadium. Capello’s side kicks-off attacking, Zalayeta serving Ibrahimovic into the box, the Swede attempts on goal but Casillas saves (6’). 5 minutes later and Ronaldo tries to score from the distance but his drive ends over the goalline. The same happens to Camoranesi’s fine right-footed shot, slightly past the post (14’). On 19’ minutes, Del Piero attempts on goal from outside the box and Casillas clears and deflects the ball out for a corner. Following the corner played by Bianconeri’s captain, Ibrahimovic’s header is high over the crossbar. On 23’ minutes, Zidane dribbles his opponents and shoots from outside the box but he misses the target. After 25 minutes, Camoranesi assists Zalayeta, whose volley shot is high over the net. After 30 minutes, the game’s pace slows down, while it rises again in the last few minutes into the first half. On 35’ minutes, Figo’s powerful drive ends beyond the goalline, while in two other occasions Thuram and Cannavaro skillfully anticipate Merengues’ strikers. A dangerous occasion on 40’ minutes for the home side: a counterattack from Real, with a pass to Ronaldo whose finish fortunately misses Buffon’s goal. On 41’ minutes, it’s Ibrahimovic turn to miss the target from the long distance, while a fine pass on the left flank between Pessotto and Zambrotta is finally vain.

No change for both sides during the break. A few minutes into the second half, a free kick by Del Piero is cleared by Casillas while on the other side Ronaldo gets dangerous on a counter-attack, he shoots across the face of goal and the ball ends out. On 9’ minutes, a long exchange of passes for Real is ended by Zalayeta’s drive cleared by Casillas. After 11 minutes, the first change of the match: Del Piero is substituted with Trezeguet. On 16’ minutes, Ibrahimovic’s free kick is out. Juventus is back into attack with Camoranesi, whose finish is deflected out for a corner, followed by Zalayeta’s header, slightly out. Figo breaks Juventus’s pressure with his drive, then easily saved by Buffon (20’). Juventus is back in attack again, with a long series of exchanges that finishes with Ibrahimovic’s shot flashes high over the bar. One more substitution for the Bianconeri: Pessotto is out for Tacchinari, who, on 27’ minutes, served by Zalayeta, attempts on goal, in vain. Real Madrid substitutes Zidane with Guti. The very good second half for the Bianconeri takes shape in the deserved goal scored on 30’ minutes: Camoranesi crosses onto the left flank for Ibrahimovic who heads the ball back to Trezeguet and he volleys the ball left-footed over his right shoulder and scores (1-0). The Delle Alpi celebrates. Capello’s squad continues attacking, being much careful of the dangerous counter-attacks from Real. On 39’ minutes, Roberto Carlos kicks one of his tricky free-kicks but Buffon clears. On 42’ Ibrahimovic assists Camoranesi, whose header ends out. On 44’ minutes, Trezeguet serves the Swede but the shot is high over the bar. It’s the last action into the full time. And it’s extra time.

The first to attempt on goal is Zalayeta who, served by Camoranesi, shoots past the post. Meanwhile, Real, after replacing Beckham with Solari during the full-time, makes the third substitution, with Raul out for Owen. On 9’ minutes, Camoranesi’s powerful drive is wide of target. On 12’ minutes it’s still the Italian-Argentine on a free kick that finishes high over the bar. The first half of the extra time ends goalless. The second half starts with Juventus attacking with Trezeguet, served by Ibrahimovic, but the Frenchman is anticipated. The match gets nervous and after 7 minutes it’s Tacchinardi and Ronaldo who pay the price for that, and both get red cards for mutual fouls. On 10’ minutes, Figo’s free kick is out. Juventus doesn’t give up and gets on target. The goal which qualifies Capello’s squad to quarter finals is scored by Zalayeta with a low drive from the edge of the box that beats Casillas. The Uruguayan celebrates with his team mates the much deserved goal. The match ends with Delle Alpi celebrating and Juventus continuing their race in Champions’ League.
