Agreed. Play Tacchinardi in midfield with Emerson and give Zambrotta the responsibility of controlling the left flank. Del Piero and Zalayeta/Zlatan will help out Zamboy while Tacchi and Emo will be there to ensure we remain stable if Gianluca gets caught in our attacking third.

the tridente is very attacking minded... but don't forget we're playing against RM who are very efficient in passing and creative play. We need to nip it in the bud before they can damage us....
what we need is a really stable defense and midfield to build it upwards towards the trident... maybe something like :-

Zebina Pessoto
Emerson
Camo Zamb

Zlatan Del Piero
Trezegol

the back 4 should be alright.... Camo and Zamb will always help emerson for the midfield battles and also building swift counters .....for this one to work, Zlatan and DP should be the key in distribution play for attack... on form these guys are really good at holding the ball (just don't hold it too long Zlatan !!!).... and we need to have an in-form trezeguet to knock the goals in.

Somewhat revised 4-3-3 or 4-5-1 or reversed trident ?!? if you like or .. the christmas tree.....
