Buffon 8 – His save on Figo's penalty kick was fundamental. No blame on Zidane's goal.

Thuram 7.5 – A dominating performance by the French defender, who was very effective on both sides of the pitch.

Tudor 6.5 – The Croatian giant played a very solid game, especially in the first half.

Montero 7 – He led Juve's defence with class and experience for all of the 90 minutes.

Birindelli 7 – Figo never found room with him.
(60' Pessotto) n.v.

Zambrotta 7 – Put him on the left, put him on the right, put him wherever you want: he'll always pay you back.

Tacchinardi 7 – The experienced playmaker did a very good job in the middle, recovering plenty of balls.

Davids 7 – As usual, the Dutch midfielder provided Juve with a huge contribution of quality and quantity.

Nedved 7.5 – Umpteenth fantastic match of his great season, but the foul that cost him the yellow card was a bad mistake: no Old Trafford for him.

Del Piero 8 – Alex was really inspired tonight. He was a kind of a nightmare for the Real defence, and the goal was a jewel.

Trezeguet 6.5 – Apart from giving Juve the lead, the French striker did a very good job in defending the ball and thereby allowing his defence to breathe.
(Camoranesi) n.v.

Real Madrid

Casillas 6.5 - No blame on Juve's goals, and some very good saves.

Salgado 5.5 - He struggled defensively and didn't give Real his usual contribution on the offensive side.

Hierro 4.5 – The veteran defender was in trouble for most of the 90 minutes.

Helguera 5 – A little better than Hierro. Just a little...

Roberto Carlos 5.5 – At least he tried to give Real a helping hand, but the best Roberto Carlos is something else.

Figo 5 – Nothing important, except a fundamental penalty kick wasted in the worst of manners.

Cambiasso 4.5 – The young Argentinean player was overwhelmed by the Juve midfielders.

Zidane 6.5 – Zizou did everything he could tonight, including a goal, but most of his teammates didn't do the same.

Flavio 5.5 - He fought hard, more than Cambiasso, but Makelele is something else.
(Ronaldo) 6.5 – He could have been the decisive factor, but Figo wasted his efforts.

Guti 5 – Invisible as a striker, anonymous as a midfielder. And an early wasted chance that could have changed the match.
(McManaman) n.v.

Raul 5.5 – It was impossible to ask him for more tonight.

Il tifo bianconero non dimentica Zidane ma oggi è per Nedved.

"sorry zidane but the love is czech" (?) (from the czech republic)

Actually, the banner is an italian pun.....

In Italian, blind and Czech are both 'Ceko', therefore, the banner reads

"Sorry Zidane but love is blind/Czech"

Quite clever don't you think?

ooops sorry for posting the same thing twice guys!

But Juve certainly impressed me tonight.... I was expecting some sort of 90 minute torture session, and instead....we taught those arrogant all-stars a lesson!

And I'm glad Ronaldo is going to have a season to mirror Inter's..... semis of the CL, 2/3 in the League (I hope Depor win it!)
