It was a nice Victory.. The victory came with the same result 1-0 in every match.
i guess we will keep winning 1-0 until we reach the Final !!
4 the FIFTH time we win 1-0 .. Good results from the bianconeri so far in CL with clean net from The best goalkeeper in the world buffon and without a Good performance which is really what we are looking for it for the next round.. The Big question Mark ?
we did qualify early to the second round and we all know that the second round will be tough more than we expected .
so i am mot gonna be happy for this result until i see the Real Face of the Bianconeri when he score more than a goal and also when he Push 90 minutes .

The match before last of this Champions League’s round, won by the Bianconeri in great advance. Capello’s squad got on the field willing to win against a prestigious side like Ajax who, on the other hand, had few chances to qualify. In front of 6.865 spectators, 300 of which are Dutch, Juventus beats the ‘Lancers’ 1-0 thanks to a goal scored by Zalayeta after 14 minutes into the first half.

Nice win for Juve even if they have already qualifed for the CL.
When I was looking at the report, I noticed that Montero and VDV were yellow carded at the same time. And as usual I expected Montero to be booked. R there any fighting breaking out between those 2?
Even though we won 1 - 0 again, I did not feel exceptionally pleased. It seems to be that the strikers have a better capability of scoring more against Ajax. I don't know y but somehow I feel that the attack seems rather weak though. I hope that we can have a better scoreline, like for example, 2 - 0 or 3 - 0.
As for the attendance, boy horrible. Only 6865 attended the game. Isn't it shameful that only so few ppl watch a CL game? I know that we r already qualified the the 2nd phase of the CL but IMO I feel that Juve fans should at least come to suport their team!
BTW can some1 provide me the rating pls?

A solitary goal from Marcelo Zalayeta ensured Group C winners Juventus FC registered their fifth consecutive 1-0 win of the group stage against AFC Ajax, which eliminated the Dutch side from the competition.
Duo rested
Three points adrift of second-placed FC Bayern München before kick-off and having to contend with a Juve defence that had yet to concede a goal, Ronald Koeman's men were always aware their chances of progression were slim at best. Juventus, meanwhile, had the luxury of resting regulars Alessandro Del Piero and Fabio Cannavaro as the Turin side had already ensured themselves a first-place finish thanks to those four previous victories.
Babel chance
Veteran Uruguay defender Paolo Montero took Cannavaro's spot in central defence while compatriot Zalayeta lined up in attack with Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who had left Ajax for Juventus at the start of the season. Ajax, meanwhile, had a new look strikeforce with the 17-year-old Ryan Babel drafted in for his first European appearance of the season alongside the inexperienced Argentinian Mauro Rosales.
Zalayeta opener
It was Swedish international Ibrahimovic who set up the first chance in the sixth minute. He supplied a neat pass to Alessio Tacchinardi, but the midfield player ballooned his shot over. However, Juve were not as wasteful in the 15th minute when alert play from Mauro Camoranesi saw him rob Maxwell on the right before racing forward and delivering a fine square pass for Zalayeta to slot the ball beyond visiting goalkeeper Hans Vonk.
Fine goalkeeping
Ajax tried to quickly regain their composure and nearly had an equaliser when Rafael van der Vaart, who had recovered from a hamstring injury to play, lined up a 25-metre free-kick just before the half-hour mark. However, Gianluigi Buffon leapt to his left to make a superb save from the Dutch international's blistering strike.
Nedved everywhere
Koeman's side continued to probe for weaknesses in the home side's rearguard but Juventus were in cruise control. They nearly caught Ajax on the counterattack three minutes before half-time following another Van der Vaart free-kick. Pavel Nedved raced forward, eluded a Hatem Trabelsi challenge, and fed Zalayeta. He in turn found Ibrahimovic but the resultant shot was too high. Nedved then spurned an opportunity himself from close range as Juve finished the half in commanding fashion.
Emerson frustrated
After the break, it was the home side that continued to find the open spaces, with Ibrahimovic and Nedved still making life complicated for Ajax. In the 50th minute, Juventus missed a clear chance to double their advantage when Nedved whipped in a sublime cross that a well-positioned Emerson failed to make contact with in front of Vonk's goal.

Ajax kept going with Nourdin Boukhari soon setting Babel free, only for the youngster’s composure to fail him at the vital moment. Despite the fine effort, Koeman opted for a change in his side's approach and sent in another teenager, Romanian striker Nicolae Mitea, to replace Boukhari. However, the Dutch side were on the back foot once more as Nedved's cross reached Emerson again, only for the Brazilian midfielder's shot to be cleared off the line by Maxwell.

The beautiful thing about this Juventus is Montero can still be fielded (in theory) along with Thuram or Cannavaro, accompanied by a strong midfield, which obviously we have. The main reason behind the defense being a success this season is not due to the signings of Cannavaro and Zebina, rather, the solid midfield play takes most of the cake. Emerson has added a new dimension to our team; I have not seen Emerson be out of position once this year. He adds this cohesiveness to the midfield, which seemingly stems out to his partner, either Blasi or Tacchinardi. Not many holes, if any, are left gaping from 30 yards in to Buffon's goal. These holes were an epidemic during Lippi's last term here, but Capello has been able to fix the problem. This Juventus has 8 players behind the ball very frequently, and the possesion in midfield (again, not present under Lippi's last year) gives the side a great balance.
Buffon did not have to do much, but once again he is showing that he's the best goalkeeper in the world. His save on van der Vaart's free kick was class, which was if I remember correctly his first save of the match. This guy is always alert and ready, which makes me laugh at the people who were calling for him to be sold over the summer. (you know who you are)
Birindelli was solid at right-back, nothing much got past him. Wasn't really tested that much either.
Thuram looked his usual self, not making any real mistakes. Though, he did let the ball bounce in the box, which is a no no.
Montero was suprisingly good, but again the midfield did a great job making sure Paolo was not tested that much. He did make a few mistakes though, for instance when Ryan Babel was able to turn around him for a shot. I kept thinking while watching Paolo "thank God Zlatan has a black and white jersey on".
Zambrotta played up to par, making good runs down the left. Normal match for Gianluca.
Camoranesi was lively on the right, and he seems to be improving. His increase in tenacity from last season is noticable, and he seems to be playing more intelligently. Mauro plays the ball quicker now, and his dribbling skills have improved as well. His tackling also looks better.
Tacchinardi was hardly noticable over the course of the match, which in a way is a good thing. Stayed in position next to Emerson the whole match, and played out a good, Tacchi-style game (lots of tackling, and let the other three handle the ball).
Emerson was working hard again in midfield, breaking down Ajax attacks, then taking the ball and making the good, smart pass. Another soild performance.
Nedved was lively on the left, working hard as always. But he failed to make an impact in the match, except for a few good runs and crosses down the left.
Zlatan was able to hold the ball up nicely for his support to come up the pitch. But again Zlatan might be holding the ball up too long, as in one case he should have squared the ball quickly to Camoranesi for the latter to go in on goal. But he was causing Ajax some problems, including the time when three defenders could not take the ball from his feet, allowing him to drop it back for the oncoming Nedved.
Zalayeta did not do much aside from scoring the only goal from Mauro's pass. That's good enough for me.
Kapo came on to the pitch and had many touches in the 15 or so minutes he played. Looks good with ball at his feet, especially when he was taken down just outside of the box after weaving past one defender. I would like to see Kapo play from the start, along with the first team, not the second. Kapo and Olivera, if we are lucky, could be our future attacking midfield duo.
