real will need at least a point to secure 1st place.
Probably not. They'll be first (on head to head) even if they lose both remaining matches. But that won't happen. If nothing else, Ronaldo will do everything to score as much possible and chase the record for most goals scored in a CL season.

It was basically a 2 v 1
nah, it was 3v3 and Barzagli shouldn't have gone for Benzema, Bonucci had the frenchie

Normally i'd be on the 'let's get knocked out for a wake up call' bandwagon. But we apparantly need the cash injection so might aswell get to the last 16 and then get dicked on by a team who's supposedly worse off than we are.

I almost want to get knocked out, just so the players realize if you don't play for the results you're not going to win anything.
oh hell no, we have had some lucky ass teams go through group stages only to do better in the final rounds and maybe even win it. Then why the fuck cant we be one of them

Am I the only one who is optimistic now with how the table looks like? I think we are in a great position to qualify considering the points and the coming matches. It is obvious that we put ourselves in trouble after the first two matches and the Madrid encounters were simply a result of the situation. We manage to put ourselves in complicated positions at the same time show strength that makes lots of teams envious of. Two wins and we are through but the individual mistakes are totally not allowed even if the opponents are FCK and Galatasaray. I expect FCK to defend much fiercer than they did in Denmark but it is in such a game where Tevez has to score his first goal in the CL in four years. He was our biggest disappointment today.

Buffon 6

Caceres 6
Barzagli 7
Bonucci 7
Asamoah 6.5

Vidal 7
Pirlo 7
Pogba 7.5

Tevez 5
Llorente 6.5
Marchisio 6

Quagliarella 6
Giovinco 5.5

In the end our players have the mental strength of a newborn. One thing goes bad in a game and they roll over and die.

We managed to draw level with a heap of time remaining yet still wet didn't push and go for the win. That one Caceres error destroyed our team's mental strength.

Added to that Conte waits for post match to make any subs and lacks the courage to throw 3 strikers on at the same time, preferring to keep an ineffective Marchisio out of position.

:agree:

I can't ask for more after the present we got from Denmark, but boy a win tonight would have meant the world for us. We could qualify after the next round already.
It's incredible how Juve are throwing out points. Silly mistakes vs Gala in the last seconds and another silly mistake tonight from Caceres leaving all this for the last round. I wonder what mistakes Juve will offer the turks in Istanbul.

Totally agree with you. Besides, we don't even have to win 2 games, we just have to win against Copenhagen and get a draw in Istanbul if Galatasaray loses to Madrid, which is very likely.

Point well made.

I must have missed Bonucci when watching through my fingers

I've got a bad feeling that they will get a result.

Real will already be through
In all honesty, Real Madrid with a B-squad is still pretty strong. And they should be able to get a result against Galatasary. This will go down to the wire and be decided in Istanbul.
A little thing of notice is that Galatasary won't sit back with 10 man and defend. That gives us the opportunity to play our own game and while we are stronger that way in theory, we still have to rely on our defense.
