We looked dreadful for 60 minutes, players looked rattled. It was obvious to me that we have quality and can trouble them, but players needed to shake off previous bad experience against them. Losing 3 games in a row would always leave a trace and effect of it we had seen throughout the 1st half of the match. I think chances are 50-50 for the return.

Also ref was shit. Clear foul before their 1st goal, Vidal's handball and in general made some dodgy calls in their favor.

They were amazing and limited us for sure. But we didn't even want to seriously fight and try for first hour. As I said it's not so much about the result but the attitude and negative gutless tactic we went with.

And I'm not saying Pogba was great, but he did the most when we were completely neutralized, he could hold off and try to make space. Also things you didn't notice that was big. 3 TIMES HE INTERCEPTED THEIR PASSES :touched: That started counters for us. No one else did a single time in first half, only him.
I kinda agree. Pogba wasn't too bad, but he needs to run more.

I said he did more then the others, not that he was great or stand out in overall. You need to understand that, because in a game and half were your entire 11 is doing $#@! all, when a player makes the only interceptions in your side and starts 3-4 counters (in a time we were completely suffocated, it stood out alot for me). One of whom which was created by him just turning and dribbling/running 30 meters, yeah I will point out he did better then his teammates in the first hour. Simply because his teammates were busy doing alot more of what he was doing when he didnt do the above mentionned, lose the ball in few seconds or miss pass.
But he is Pogba and we all expect a lot more from him than he delivers today.

True. We played like Conte was leading us, then figured out crap out and fought back. I would much rather go into the second leg with that than starting off with a lead and folding at the end.

This tie is far from over.
The last mins gave us a way to hurt them. We need to go out fearless of losing it all in the return leg. We were batshit scared in the first half and this is totally unnaceptable, even against bayern.
We put some pressure on them and right away they started to go all spaghetti.

We need to show them less respect.

Guardiola is an overrated bald bastard.

Great comeback, showed a lot of fight and heart. 2-2 isn't a great result, and it'll be very difficult - but not impossible to turn this tie around.

Our first half performance was an absolute disgrace though. Looked like Conte's Juve against them in 2013. Showed them WAY too much respect, sat way too deep and barely tried to press their midfielders and let them pass and move us around at will. You can never give a team like Bayern that much time on the ball, they will eventually hurt you one way or another.

From the 60th min onward we looked way better. Two vital goals that still keeps us in it. Grande Paulo and Stefano.

Exactly my thoughts....it was like if conte was guiding us to play like chickens from the stands... with his negative mind power.

1st time I've seen allegri tactically wrong about how to approach a match in juve.

4-5-1 with dybala alone upfront would have been better.
Yeh, we are talking about our players...but damn allegri got it so wrong it was conte worthy shid.

Luckily he reacted quickly after halftime.

The first half must never happen again, I don't care who is the opponent.

Loved the comeback though, it showed Bayern is vulnerable but will be less so without Kimmich.

Also it was crazy how our defenders fell for that Robben goal. I mean he must've scored like 30+ goals after cutting inside the exact same way, and yet none of our defenders read that. As soon as he shifted the ball to his left foot, I was like, Oh sh!t here it comes.

Pogba did very well today, only player able to fight Bayern for the ball and hold on to it. Marchisio and Khedira sucked. It was clear that most of our players dont possess the technique required to get us past Bayerns pressure when we capture the ball. Our passes are getting out of control and we loose the ball way to easy. Barzagli and Bonucci are excused as they are our CBs, but Licht and Evra are limiting us. Lets hope Sandro and Chiellini will be back so that we can use our 3-5-2 with Sandro and Cuadrado on the wings. Bayern may get Boateng and Benatia ready too, but I dont think that will change much for us. Them playing with Vidal, Kimmich and Alaba in defence made them very secure on the ball, killed our midfield and made us suffer.

I have never seen a team dominate my Juve as much as Bayern dominated in the first half, but still, that doesnt change the fact that we werent given a penalty and that both of Bayern goals were very much suspicious. A penalty is a penalty, whether its fair or unfair, Juve deserved the penalty. Who knows how the game would have continued if we have scored the first goal of the game......... Juventus were properly damaged tonight, not so much by Bayern than by the referees......

On one hand I agree, we know we have to win. Much better to watch that then trying not to concede.

Robben went to the backline and had dangerous crosses as many times as he went with his left cut. He is not that simple to deal with. We need to improve on both him and Costa. They dominated us.

Hi again guys. Wanted to congratulate you for a great second half. Got to say, if there something I really admire about Juve is its character; being two goals down and not giving up. I wouldn't EVER call a match against Juve done until the final whistle, you are always a big time danger.

Besides that, Pogba was fantastic, we rarely see a midfielder actually able to take the game to our players. His pressing and defensive work was amazing and his speed and technicality are -of course- huge.

Cuadrado, OTOH, went to the floor without much reason. I now hate him honestly.

I guess a 2-2 in Torino is a nice result for us but, as I said, wouldn't ever call a tie against Juve done until the final whistle. Got to respect your "grinta" ;)

the Champions League is a dream for us and we’d follow it, but always aware there are teams at a more advanced level. Also, don’t forget they can pay millions for a single player, whereas we cannot compete on a financial level.

These games need to help us understand how much of a gap there is from us to the superpowers. I am very happy with my group of players for giving us unforgettable nights. We must prepare for the second leg, which will be very tough, but football can have surprises.
